3 weeks delay of application. Tier1 Investor Premium Service

Post by 12122019 » Thu Dec 12, 2019 2:16 pm

Hi everyone,

I made my ILR application with Premium service at 16.11.2019.
At 21.11.2019 I have got an update email stating that the decision is being delayed:

"Although we would normally decide your application within five working days from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this is not going to be possible in your case.
A decision on your application has been delayed as a result of issues with access to your documents.
I am sorry for the delay in dealing with your application and for the inconvenience this is causing. Please be assured that we are doing all we can to make a decision on your case as quickly as possible."

My documents are fine, nothing changed from 2018 when I successfully applied through my lawyers. This time I tryed to do it on my own.
As of today, 3 weeks after the email, I haven't received anything else. I was relying on the timeframe of one week or so, so now, the delay is very inconvenient for me. UKVI phone support said that I can send them a letter to a postbox in Sheffield. Should I try it or something else, or there are no ways to deal with the delay?

Visa: Tier 1 investor (1M). granted on 04.12.14, prolonged on 27.02.2018 till 27.02.2020
First UK entry: 07.12.2014
Application date: 16.11.2019 Priority service
Last update email: 21.11.2019

Unfortunately.. there is no way to deal with a delay or any way to hurry up the process. The standard service time frame is 6 months or more .
But due to super priority ur application was dealt with priority. It’s now up to the organisations to revert back to HO(ho took consent to contact banks etc)

It’s unfortunate that this is the reality, you can however send evidence of the reason why you need them to decide urgently on your application, you might be lucky they respond quickly. This has worked for some people in the past.

Hello Dear 12122019,

May I know if you have received your ILR approval from HO? Have you figured out the reason for the delay on your premium service for ILR based on Tier 1 Investor visa?

Any of your kind updates would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

All the best,
Qi

aman90, bizman thanks for your replies.

Qi, I'm still waiting for the answer from HO. It's a month now passed instead of a week. I thought the reason for the delay might have been that my first entrance to the UK was 07.07.14 and HO waited till 07.07.19 to approve my application, but the week passed after 07 Dec and nothing happened. I've been recommended to send a letter to their postbox, but I expect it will take a long time to be answered and being a bit lazy about it now. Hoping to get some updates next week.
