Apply for ILR through spouse route

Post by tarsheen » Mon Nov 25, 2019 12:06 am

Would be really great if someone can help me to understand when can I apply for my ILR. I have got my spouse visa on 18 Dec 2014 and entered UK on 7th Jan 2015. My current spouse visa is expiring on 21st March 2020.

No earlier than 28 days before the 7th Jan 2020 and no later than the expiry date on your current visa.

Thanks for the prompt response.

Can I submit my application now and take appointment 28 days before 7 Jan 2020.

Further, I was reading somewhere that 5 years period is calculated from the date of issue of visa. Below is the extract:

You may be able to apply for ILR earlier than you think. It is generally thought you can apply 28 days prior to the date you entered the UK, but this is not always the case. If you entered the UK within 3 months of your visa being issued, you might eligible to apply 28 days prior the issue date on the visa.

It is too early. The date of application is the date you submit and pay online.

This ONLY applies to PBS dependents and PBS route visas, ie tier 1 and tier 2. It does not apply to spouse settlement visa holders.

Technically you can as you should be eligible for ILR on the day of the decision.

ILR

Post by tarsheen » Tue Nov 26, 2019 11:20 am

Can you please advise that do we need to provide complete address of family and friends in home country or we can mention the city. Below is the exact lines of the question:

Do you have any friends in your country of birth, nationality or any other country where you have lived for more than 5 years?
List their names, where they live, how you are related to them, and what type of contact you have with them

How soon can I apply for ILR

Post by tarsheen » Fri Dec 13, 2019 6:01 pm

Hi ....I want to apply for Ilr. Would be great if you can advise how soon I can apply for ILR. I got first UK visa on 17 Dec 2014. I arrived in UK on 7th Jan 2015. My current visa is expiring on 21 March 2020. In my extension letter it states as below which is confusing:

"You must apply before the end of your authorized stay in the UK but not more than 28 days before completing that period."

Please advise.

Presume ur on a spouse visa.
Date of entry minus 28 days = continuous period for ILR

Yeah I have been advised the same but today I found on my spouse visa extension letter the below lines which was confusing:

"You must apply before the end of your authorized stay in the UK but not more than 28 days before completing that period."

I was not sure about " completing that period" context in above paragraph written in my visa extension letter

The period refers to 60 months or apply before your visa expires. It is a choice.

Variable Salary

Post by tarsheen » Thu Dec 19, 2019 10:56 pm

Hi

I am applying for my ILR. My question is that my husband salary is variable every month. We are confused whether we need to enter base salary in annual income or shall we include overtime and bonus in the annual income. The HR will give the confirmation about the base salary.

Is there any comment section or can we attach cover letter in which we can explain about the variable part of my salary.

Thanks

With the new system, the evidence can be originals or copies. Online bank statements are fine.
