Child benefits - missing claimant BRP

Post by ukvisat2 » Thu Dec 12, 2019 11:47 am

I applied for Child benefits on 18/11/2019. I received my children's original documents back on 27/11/2019, but my original BRP was missing.

I tried to explain this to HMRC, but no one gave me the answer where is my BRP. They reply that someone will call back in 5 days, but no one called me.

I worry about the BRP as I have an appointment next Friday for my son's BC application.

Is it normal for some documents to return later?

Why you sent your BRP? Maybe it was not needed.

They require proof of my immigration status as I can only claim when I have ILR. I have not received any approval letter for my ILR. Therefore, I only had BRP for proof of my immigration status.
