Documents for childs british passport

Post by trueindian2013 » Wed Dec 18, 2019 9:09 pm

Hi

My daughter became british citizen recently and received naturalisation certificate. She is 8 yrs old. We applied for her British passport today. They asked to us to send us the following documents after completing the application and identity verification.

1. naturalisation or registration certificate
2. the passport used to enter the UK
3. any current or expired passports from other countries that haven’t been cancelled
4. any court orders (for example that describe parental responsibility or residency arrangements)

However, it's unclear what to send for point 4. We don't have any court orders to prove parental responsibility. We are her biological parents, married and staying together. Pls could you advise what to send as evidence for this point.

Thank you so much in advance.

We were in the same process last week:

Please send them
1. Original Naturalisation Certificate
2. Valid Indian Passport

& nothing else, please send it via Special Delivery Signed Royal Mail post ( around 6 pounds ) .

Child’s birth certificate has both parents name on usually that will show parental responsibility. They just want to establish the relationship between the child and the adult (parent) who is acting on child’s behalf.

4. Does not apply to married or unseparated parents.
