Tier 4 in country visa extension NO confirmation from UKVI

I am applying for a tier 4 extension on the same Ph.D. course. What documents should I upload and attach to the application?
List of documents I am attaching: (please let me know if I should attach any other document)
Passport
Biometric resident permit
New CAS letter
Bank statement
Marriage certificate (for dependant and myself)
Council letter on joint names (for address proof)
Driving license (for address proof)
National ID
Previous MBA certificate
IHS fees paid confirmation email copy.

When you apply, it generates an automatic check list.

None of these things are needed! I strongly advise you get advice on your application from the international student adviser at your university.

I am applying from within the UK and the document checklist gives information on mandatory documents and other documents but nor supporting documents. I am applying with my dependant under the tier 4 route extension on the same course at Ph.D. level.

The online form still generates a checklist at the end of the online process.

Do you need to attend PhD viva first only you can apply for tier 4 extension?

What is Tier 4 extension meaning?

I have applied for my extension on my Phd visa. I also submitted my biometrics on the 28th dec 2019. Since then i haven't heard any confirmation from ukvi or third party that thr application has been accepted and it is in process.

Anyone in same boat or can advice on it?

No i havent done my final viva yet. This extension is to arrange my final viva and make changes to thesis.

After viva, i can apply for DES visa.

You don't hear from HO or UKCVAS about your application until a decision is made.

Strange as my friend received an acceptance confirmation email after 5 days of giving biometrics in the UK. And i am waiting since 2 weeks to receive a confirmation.

Any detail on how to contact HO regarding the application submitted?

Its been almost a month and I have not yet received any correspondence from the UKVI regarding my application received or not.
The third party company who takes biometrics also did not provide any paper confirmation that i submitted my application.

Any contact details where i can track my application?

Please help.

No you dont need to do the viva first. I applied for my extension before viva date.

Have you got your decision? Which service did you take standard or priority?

Not yet. No correspondence from the UKVI.

Not even a confirmation emial that the recieved my application. Its so stressful.

I am in the same situation. Did biometrics on 16 December. No confirmation or acknowledgement from UKVI till date. Called their helpline but was advised by a recorded message that they will not respond to any enquiries on status of application until after the advertised standard time, that is, after 8 weeks.

I think they are just way slow in responding or confimring back to us applicants. Hope for good news. Best wishes.

Strange, my experience was completely the opposite. Got the application completed with the international office at the University. Paid everything for a standard service and submitted the application with biometrics on the 23/12/2019. Though it was peak xmas time still I got a receipt of application on the 27/12/19 and later on a Sunday 29/12/2019 visa successful email. To me this was quite odd as I got Premium service in Standard fee during xmas time.

Submitted my biometrics on the 28th dec 2019 for standard tier 4 extension within UK. Got advised by university to wait until end of Feb 2020 and see if they come back before that or else will have to look to contact them some way.

I just recieved my decision email this morning. Today is the last day in the 8th week. In effect, they used up their 8 weeks timeline. So relax, yours is coming.
