Hello everyone,

I pray for positive news for everyone still waiting. Congratulations to everyone who got positive news through the court.

I had to pay for tuition when l went back for masters in social work. I was denied NHS bursary. From personal experience, if you can source for the money I'd advice to just go for it, rather than wait.

All the best.

Topsibelle, wow, that's strange. I was thinking of going back to college and uni when I get my settled status by God's grace.
Hmmmmm, what about the benefits, where you entitled to it?
Thank you. And they give a reason for the denial?

Oh dear I'm sorry for sending out wrong signals.

I meant when l got my derivative residence card in 2014 not now with settled status. With settled status, you are British without the red passport as you can apply for anything and everything. Except for travelling, where you still need visa.

Pls do go back, you will get all benefits like you a British with a settled status.

I meant back in 2014 with my derivative residence card. I had to pay home student fees as l didn't get the NHS bursary.

Hi

I keep reading here that the Home Office has 6 months to decide on our cases due to EU27 directives.

I applied on 15th July 2018 and received my COA on the 8th August 2018. It will be 6 months next week since the Home Office has had my application. Everytime I call to ask for an update, I am told it is with a caseworker.

Is there any way to get a decision sooner or make Home Office stick to the 6 month deadline?

Hi.
Mine will b 6 months next month 8th feb.there is no 6 month deadline or something like that. In fact they say there is no time scale for paper application.
I have spoken to my mp she sais she will send letter to them but i dont think its gona make any difference. Other thing is to do judicial review which very expensive and lengthy process.
I would say go and see ur mp.

Has anyone read, home office processing time? It says Derivative right applicants should stop calling till the HO themselves get in contact with applicants.

I have posted my Application in June, and no decision since. I kept calling them every two weeks after the 4th month, but the last guy told me not to worry and stop calling them.

It's time to go to my mp too. Cos my 6months period us over.
