UK allowances with Indian Salary - Very Strange

Post by itguy_uk » Thu Jul 31, 2008 8:19 pm

Hello all,

I'm currently in UK under Work Permit. I'm on a deputation / secondment payroll from India.

My UK salarys slip are having a component called "Indian Salary Paid in India = £100". But actually my employer is not paying anything in India. I'm planning to switch from WP to Tier-1 (General). I'm getting enough points with my UK salary. But my worry is, the "Indian Salary Component " in my UK payslips. Since my employer is not paying me that component in india, there is no bank statement proof for this..

Will this create any problem ? Though i have enough points, there might be a chance that the case worker might feel that i'm hiding some information.

Please advise

It will not be a problem. Case worker will only make sure you are not claiming points for Indian salary again with India payslips and Indian Bank statement, which you are not. So, do not worry.

Thanks Rajesh...However i would like make one point clear that i'm not getting seperate indian payslips. Its only the UK payslip which contains the"Indian Salary Component". I have to produce this UK payslip as proof my UK earnings to the Home Office. In this case, will that create any confusion ?

Thanks
