I sent mine in Feb. And pretty straight forward. People who applied in May are starting to get approvals. I’m at my wits end now. I’m thinking of the possible worst case scenarios at this point. Team 23 seems a long way from 1-3 which seem like the decision teams.sweetlion wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 8:32 pmHi SouthAfricanNomad
Can you please let me know when did you send your application? I've sent mine last August. The latest letter received was that my application have been moved to stage 2. Since then, no communication. Also, can you let me know their email address for a follow up? Thank you!!!
This letter is an intention to approve your application. Technically you are not approved until you are sworn in.
Thanks niksireniksire wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 8:27 amHi apuser
I dont remember the exact thing but it was some drop off location in post office, where they then go and collect all the letters themselves.
it was something like DSU. so dont worry if it dont says the department location in the tracking.
And congratulations for all who receiving the invites, and Good luck to all who are waiting.
I wouldnt give up on the idea that u wont get to the next ceremony considering they are having them over the 2 days and normally they would have 2 ceremonies per day it should clear a good bit of the backlog!!A lady in inis told me that because of the delay I wouldnt be considered for the december ceremony but there would be a strong possibility of me attending the next 1!! So I'm hopefulSalixruns wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:58 pmI submitted my application in Sept 2018 and just got my letter January 9th in the post asking for the €950 and passport photos. My husband applied at the same time as me but moved through the process much faster and was approved before the ceremonies were suspended. He became a citizen in the December ceremony.
I'm hoping this means I'll be in the March ceremonies but I'm not that optimistic given the huge back log of people who paid their fees long ago.
What do you think?
