Moroccan tourist visa

Post by Vicki0211 » Tue Jan 21, 2020 12:54 pm

Hi all

My husband and I have booked a holiday to Morocco and my husband needs a visa. He is Albanian but with a UK permit.

I need to make an appointment with the Moroccan embassy in London but they never answer their phone or emails.

Has anyone had the same issue?

Hello

If you live outside London, you can apply by post:

https://www.moroccanembassylondon.org.uk/en/viisa.html

No appointment of calls needed.

Many consultates/embassies never pick up the phone or only once in a while.

We live in London, so need to do it in person, unfortunately.

I have emailed twice too and nothing back. I’m worried that time is going to go quickly and we’ll be too late.

Have you been calling the Moroccan Embassy or the Consulate (who process visa applications) ?

Also note the opening times:
THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO
DIAMOND HOUSE 97/99 PRAED STREET, PADDINGTON
LONDON
W2 1NT
TEL: 02077240624 ( Please call during our opening hours: 9am - 2pm)
Visa
Mr. Mohamed Driouch, Vice Consul
E-mail : m.driouch@maec.gov.ma

https://www.moroccanconsulate.org.uk/en ... %20us.html
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

I’ve been calling the consulate, before 2pm. I tried 4 times today between 11 and 1.30!

You know what, take all your documents for the visa and go.

Many consulate I know leave the phone ringing the whole day and nobody care picking up the phone. It may happen once in a while that someone answers but it's just if you are lucky.

The easiest option could be to go there and talk to them. Either they take your application on the spot or give you an appointment another day.

I was thinking that, just so frustrating as my husband will lose a days work to go and he is self employed... and if they turn him away, how crap

I know it's frustrating :( It means multiple trips to the consulate and may be for nothing.

It doesn't seem they have a proper customer service for their visas.

A friend of mine applied recently for a visa to Germany and the customer service was horrendous. It's becoming the norm. If you need a visa, they feel entitled to take your money, charge what they want and treat you like dirt.

If Morocco requires a visa from a certain nationals, it means it doesn't have strong touristic / economic ties or interests with their country. So they are not exited to deliver visas or pick up the phone.

I personally don't visit / spend money or any country that asks me for a visa.

My husband has a UK residence permit but still requires a visa to visit Morocco. It’s a shame they’re being annoying, because we’re really looking forward to visiting!

It follows the citizenship not the residence permit. So he will be treated as Albanian because he holds an Albanian passport.

Waw! Amazing.

I went to their website and couldn't find it. Where is it? If you can share the link to the booking page, that might help other people visiting the forum for the same issue.

It’s on the visa page, if you scroll right down there is a small blue box under all of the visa options, if you click that it leads here
