Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm very grateful for all the resources and knowledge gathered together on this forum!

Applied for ILR Route : Tier 2 General, 5 years, SET(O)
Service: Super Priority
Date application sent : 9 January 2020, 5.30pm
Date Biometrics Enrolled : 14 January 2020, 8.30am (Croydon)
Approval/Refusal Email Received : 14 January 2020, 11.30am
BRP Card Received : 16 January 2020

I never thought it would be so fast! I was still on the coach home after my biometrics appointment when my approval came through... less than 3 hours later.

Hello All
Let me share my Timelines and Success Story if it can help anyone.

Applied for ILR Route : SET(O) - Tier 1(G) + Tier 2(G)
Date application Submitted : 9/01/2020
Payment Debited : 9/01/2020 (online)
UKVCAS Appointment : 13/01/2020
UKVCAS Appointment Location: Croydon Core Service Centre, Free Appointment
Type of Service taken: Priority Service
Document received by HO : 13/01/2020 (As confirmed by the UKVCAS Staff)
Approval/Refusal Received : Approval mail received 14/01/2020 (very next day)
BRP Card Received : 16/01/2020

Some additional notes for everybody's reference:-
I didn't take any Solicitor representation but clarified all doubts here
The overall timeline took me 3 weeks from the point I started planning the application process till I received approval. The main delays for me were
  • Life in UK Exam appointment which took over a week to get the date
  • NARIC Certification which I was not aware till I almost finished my application. If I had known this earlier I would have got everything done within 2 weeks
I simply followed the checklist of Home office application that I downloaded incomplete as reference guide to make my documentation.
It took less than 24 hours for approval while I submitted my application through Priority service in Croydon
The guidance given by Immigration Boards team is invaluable. Especially, Zimba and CR001, whom I thank a ton for all the advise and time they give to umpteen people like me. I wish I meet and invite them for drinks to chill out once :)
Best Wishes

Applied for ILR Route : SET(O) - Tier 2(G)
Date application Submitted : 2/01/2020
UKVCAS Appointment : 09/01/2020
UKVCAS Appointment Location: Croydon Core Service Centre, Free Appointment
Type of Service taken: Priority Service - 5 days Service which is new

Approval/Refusal Received : Approval mail received 13/01/2020

I was confused about the new 5 days Priority service, but this is a new service which they have introduced for tier 2 applicant. The time is for 5 working days.

Applied for ILR Route : SET(O) - Tier 2(G)
Date application Submitted : 12/01/2020
UKVCAS Appointment : 17/01/2020 (Friday)
UKVCAS Appointment Location: Croydon Core Service Centre
Type of Service taken: Priority Service - 5 working days
Approval/Refusal Received : Approval mail received 20/01/2020 (Monday)
BRP Card Received - awaiting

Saved £300 by choosing the priority 5 days service instead of super priority 1 day service, and still got the response after 1 working day! Unless you are really in a rush - no point doing the super priority.
