student finance

Post by bus » Wed Jan 22, 2020 10:29 am

Hello,
My friends daughter who arrived to this country when she was 8 and half years old completed her 10 years and applied for her ILR in November 2019 (applied normal service) wanted to enter to the university this February. She applied for student loan and gave all the evidence like letters from primary school to 6th form and all her certificates and proved she studied in the UK. Still student finance is not happy and passed all the details to resident team which take 6 to 8 weeks to process. her parents wants to know can she wary her application for super priority or any contact number to call UKBA to explained the situation and expedited the ILR visa process, her one parent is already ILR holder and mother completed her 10 years with her an already applied for her ILR same time with the daughter. Any suggestion to help her to get the Student finance loan.
Your help is greatly appreciated !!!!!

No.
or any contact number to call UKBA to explained the situation and expedited the ILR visa process
Standard service is up to 6 months. You cannot expedite the service unless there are exceptionally compassionate reasons, which student finance is not.

Thank you CR

With your in-depth experience do you know she will qualify for the student loan or not. She is having very strong education background in grammar school and going to study physiology. No criminal or any other offence her life in the uk.

Thanks CR

she is qualifying under below category
18 or over and have lived in the UK for at least 20 years (or at least half of your life)
Her one parent with ILR other one is pending including her. since she is over 18 is it valid to show the parent ILR status.
