Hi All,

I got the reply for the FOI application that I did in November 2019.
The checklist is 1 - 17. I am concerned about the checklist the final column where it says: "Information given in confidence" Page 144-164 (Refuse).
I am planning to give the documents of 146 pages to my Lawyer to study and write them again.
He wrote sometime in December and they came back with the same generic reply "the application is continued to be processed blah blah blah" as usual.
Please any advise on what next to do?
This is getting really frustrating.
Thanks guys.
Daniel.

Do you mean this the recommendation for the minister or this is his decision or your answer is not convincing?Hope for you all the best

You can request for your personal data under FOI act.
Download the FORM, fill it, scan and send it to the email provided in the form.
It takes about 4 weeks for processing.
They will send the documents and responses regarding your application and checklist.
From the CHECKLIST I got, only one question was refused and quoted the reason why that was refused under the same FOI Act.
https://foi.gov.ie/guidance/about/
My lawyer will take it up from there and write DOJ again.
I have tried attaching the FOI form to this post was unsuccessful.
Let me know if you have any question in this regard.
Cheers. :|

It was one section of the CHECKLIST of the outcome of the FOI application I made in November 2019. It wasn't Minister decision. 16 out of 17 questions were answered.
It was frustrating to see that your application is sitting there on some lazy mule desk. So I decided to request for my personal data with DOJ under FOI Act, at least to know what possible cause could be hindering the progress of my application. It's been well over 2 years I have applied.
Hope this clears the air.

Emu1990 - I got the 2nd stage letter in early 2019. And just got a email reply today as below:

"your application is currently being processed. This
office does not currently require any further information or documentation
from you at this time. While it is not possible to give an exact timeframe,
this office will be in touch as soon as a decision has been reached."

I asked the local TD too and He have sent them an email. Next week I am applying for FOI.

Thanks.

Contact a solicitor which specializes in immigration and naturalization ASAP and ask them to send a letter querying the application. This has produced some last minute approvals

Yes got approval this week. After multiple email enquiries, a couple of TD letter and finally a solicitors letter.
Applied oct 2017.

Good luck to you and everyone else on here. Id advise you to make a move with a TD or solicitor otherwise your leaving it down to the mercy of a short staffed INIS.

Thank you for a quick reply . TD has written several times on my behalf . Solicitor has sent one letter. Now she has sent another letter a couple of weeks back . Still no approval . Written an email to INIS and got the same copy paste reply. So I guess there is very little I can do now . As I think they have possibly sent all approvals by this time.
