Parents on ILR Child citizenship

My route is Tier 2 General.

My visa was valid from 18/05/2015
I arrived 26/05/2015

What is the earliest date I can apply for IRL online and whats the earliest I can book the appointment for?

You can apply online no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the initial visa started. Your date of appointment is irrelevant. Date of application is the date you submit and pay online.

So thats 28 days before 18/05/2010, the day my visa is valid from and not my arrival date, 26/05?

Hi,

I am currently the main applicant on a tier 2 general. In Feb 2015 my wife and I did the IELTS General test.

Mine was used for the initial Tier 2 application.

I am now told by the agency doing my ILR application that my IELTS certificate will be accepted but my wife's will not as it doesn't have a ukvi number.....

Is there anyway I can get her old IELTS converted or verified?

if the certificate is authentic ( real) and test and centre still accepted by Homeoffice I do not see a reason why it will not be accepted.

She can only use an expired test if it is on the current list AND it was used for a previous application. As a PBS dependent is NOT required to prove English, her certificate is irrelevant. She needs to do a new test at B1 level.

You cannot "convert" an old test
She must do it again.

The last piece needed for my application is my wife's Language cert which shall be done this Saturday at Trinity.

Im having trouble deciding if I should apply now without it or wait for the cert (01/08) and apply with a complete package. Also I am hoping that the Priority service will be open on 01/08.

All opinions are welcome.

While UKVI and UKCVAS are still dealing with the backlog, priority service is unlikely to be available. Currently UKCVAS has invited June applicants to book biometric appointments.

No one on the forum can guess when it might be. All applications routes, visas and ILR, are delayed.

I would apply to get in the queue at least.

I have recently submitted my ILR application, Tier 2 + 5 years in UK

I have a child 8 years old born outside the UK and a child 4 months old born in the UK. When I get ILR can I apply for both their citizenships?

Or can I apply only for the 4 month old now and the 8 year old 12 months after i get ILR?

No, not both. A child born abroad has no entitlement to register as British once a parent is granted ILR. A child born abroad follows the same path as the parents.

Yes, once you are granted ILR you can register the child as British.

and the 8 year old 12 months after i get ILR?

The child needs ILR first and can only apply for citizenship once either parent is also applying or already British and the other parent holds ILR. Did you include the child with your ILR application??

Yes, the 8 year old was included in the ILR, the 4 month old was not.

Thats fine then. The 4 month old doesn't need ILR anyway.
