Technical issue delay

I applied for Tier 2 extension with new employer 14 Dec 2019. My dependants also applied with me. It has been 6 weeks since I applied. I applied under priority. I escalated this with ukvi contact centre and received following response

Please be advised that we are experiencing technical issues with your application. This has been raised with the relevant department as a priority and we will progress with your application as soon as the technical issue is resolved.

Has anyone had this kind of experience with UKVI. My previous employers license was suspended when I applied for extension and got revoked only last week. The new employers license is in good shape.
