I don't think it technically falls under the switch category as you are not switching from different visa category.

https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/extend-your-visa

Check the above link and jump to "If you change your job" section. Basically it's a new application, so pretty much same process like new application. COS, RLMT, bank statement, etc. all applicable.

You can always start the application (but don't submit it) to see what all evidence you need to submit.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

As I said, start the application by clicking the apply online link on that page (but don't submit it yet). You will figure out what documents you need to submit.

Read the full guidance if you need more clarity.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Hi

I did apply and checked.
It has been asking for Passport and BRP card only.
No where it was asking whether you are changing your employment.
Is this a correct outcome .

Once you give cos details they know about your new employer, salary, RLMT, etc details and if your employer ticked the right options (certified maintenance) on cos you don't need to supply bank statements, which I believe may be the case here.

Just make sure you soc code and salary do meet the requirements and provide the evidence that they ask in the checklist.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

SOC Code 2135

Post by kavisekhar » Sat Dec 21, 2019 8:51 am

Hi

My husband is looking for change of employment under SOC code 2135.
I understand now that the code has been included under shortage occupation list.
Initially we had mentioned NO for shortage occupation list and YES for RMLT and got 3 years visa.
Now can we submit application without RLMT completion and under Shortage occupation list.
Please advise.

Regards
Kavitha

Hi All

We have submitted the application for the SOC code 2135 after it came into the shortage occupation list and it was successful.
Our initial application was under non shortage occupation category.
We applied for extension under tier 2 general (change of employment).
thanks to the forum.

Regards
Kav
