I got my letter about a week ago and even though it said "please send the fee within 10 days of this letter" the letter wasn't actually dated.
I thought that when I received my letter as well, but later saw it was dated on the reverse side, right at the top, and with a date 4 days prior to my receiving it.

Hi guys,

I just got a letter asking me for the 950 euro fee and passport photos. I know that there are two ceremonies scheduled in March, but wondering if someone knows when will be the next one?

I already booked a holiday in April for 3 weeks and I'm afraid not to miss an invitation while I'm abroad.
Hi,

If you dont mind could you please share the date of you letter. On what date they issue a letter to you

All letters are dated. Most likely on the second page. They really could change their template and save half of the paper...

Double sided printing. The date is on the other side of the page. (It was for me anyway)

Hi,

Does anyone know what NI residents send along with photos and payment instead of GNIB Card?
Thanks
If it's the same as me which is most likely (UK citizen), you just send photos and payment only.

Am I right in thinking there's no need to get the photos signed by a solicitor at the approval stage?

You just need to write your application reference on the back of each. Solicitor/notary not required.

I just wrote my application number on the back.
I sent in two and kept the other two optimistically for a passport 😉🤞

Hi

Congratulations! You need to go to your bank and do a bank draft payable to the Secretary General Department of Justice and Equality. The information is on the letter. I just went to the bank with the letter and they gave me the bank draft. Good luck with it. :)

Do you guys think there will be more approvals coming for the March ceremony?

I see from posts here that they seem to have sent 4 batches of approvals on 7, 14, 21 and 24 January so, with the elections looming, I am not sure if there will be another round of approvals.

We are waiting approximately 2 years now and still didn't get anything. What do you guys think?
I got approval letter today 29/01/2020 They are still sending approval letter.

I went to my own branch and it was deducted from my account (via my debut card). You could try any bank to see.

Remember there is a fee payable to get one also.

Hi, my post was deleted. I don't know why?
I was asking if you would mind update your invitation when you get it and especially who have got their approval in November but didn't invite to December ceremony because it was fully booked. TIA

I see now the date on the back of my letter was the 22nd of Jan. Although I emailed them yesterday (29th) and got a reply same day saying if I pay within the next 10 days (of the email) I would be considered for the upcoming ceremony. So I'm not sure how rigid the 10 days from date of letter is.

Hello,

Id say the sooner you post the required information the better. They are probably aware of the delays in the post I think. Hopefully you ll get an invitation to the next ceremony. All the best.

Hello there

From reading comments in this forum , I am getting worried if I will get a call for the ceremony. Posted the draft And stuffs today. Why would they want us to wait after approval.?

Quick question: I have a 3 year old so I heard they won’t allow kids. If me and my hubby get it on the same day, I dunno what to do with the kid.

Will there be multiple time slots spread across 2 days?
When will the ceremony start?
Are they flexible if we come late?
Hope long will the ceremony take?
