Thanks a million. Hope to you as well and everyone here. I have got my approval last November but they didn't invite me last December ceremony. It was fully booked.

Hi Everybody ,

Need Urgent advise please,
Applied in Mid 2017
Got letter to submit
€950
GNIB Card

My GNIB expires on 16 Feb?
The earliest ceremony would be in March!

What should I do? should I send the card as per the letter and they will give me any letter of acknowledgement or what? Do I have to apply for renewal before sending the GNIB card, it would be 2,weeks before it expires which would be early Feb and by that time the 10 days mentioned in the letter will be over?

Any suggestion or previous experience please!

Thanks
Hi Kamione ,show your approval letter to immigration officer.he/she will give a 3 month extended stamp on your passport for free but will not apply for new GNIB card . Send the photocopy of passport page with new stamp along with your current GNIB card .PLS.also write a cover letter . This would be enough . I did same . Best of luck.
Hi ,

Thanks for the reply.

I went to the Garda station immigration, they extended my leave to remain and stamped on passport But they said that they have to apply for a New Garda Card which will come in Three Weeks!!!

I have send the draft, photograph and Garda card, but not have heard from them yet!

Will they consider??

Any views! Thanks!

Well I had a long chat with them and they also consulted among themselves (in Cork) and their consensus was that they have to apply! I didn’t had any say, it was like either take it (extend it) or Leave it!

Which county did you apply from,

What would be my options now

1) Should I wait for invitation as I wrote a detailed cover letter and explained my position. ( already send them my old valid card)

2) Can I contact Dublin GNIB? Asking them to consider issue me card urgently or wave requirement for GNIB card for me and cancel it.

3) Any other option?

Thanks

I cant advise on options you have, i extended mine in Donegal and my local immigration had informed that inly stamp will do.

I contacted citizen department last week and below is there reply to me.

Thank you for your email. You are required to have your permission to
remain in date on the day of the Ceremony. You should contact your local
immigration officer to see will they input a stamp on your passport to
cover you to the date of the ceremonies and if they will then forward a
copy of the stamp to this office in order for you to be considered for
inclusion at the Ceremonies on 02 and 03 March 2020.

Spouse of Irish Citizen so no Fee required for me,
I send them 950€ bank draft, two photos and my current GNIB Card ( the new one will be coming after two weeks after 15 which I am planning to send anyway)

My concern was would they consider fir the up coming ceremony, do I need to do anything that anyone can think of or suggest!

Thanks again for you time and help

My sister got her approval today and she applied on the last week of july 2019 :D
I applied a week or two before her and have been getting the same email response "application continues to be processed.."
So i emailed this morning after my sisters news to ask has my application been approved and got a reply that I will "receive a correspondence from this office in the coming days" from team 5.

I hope this is information that i will be getting an approval letter from them in the post soon? Has anybody got this reply before?
