Tier 2 Ict to dependent to tier 2 general

Hello All, i would like to ask a query and appreciate any help in this regard.
I was on ICT visa main applicant and then switched to tier 2 dependent within UK in beginning April 2019. Can i now apply for tier 2 general in April/May 2020? Does switching to tier 2 dependent initiated my cooling period in April 2019 or it is strictly 12 months after visa expiry date?

You need 12 months on the dependent visa before you can apply for a tier 2 general from home country, meeting all the requirements.

Many thanks. I will be completing 12 months on dependent visa in this april. I guess the real question is does switching to dependent visa automatically initiated the cooling period or the original ICT was required to be withdrawn by the employer to kick off cooling period as the ICT visa was still valid for months when i switched.

Your ICT was cancelled when the dependent visa was issued.

The 12 months on dependent visa IS the cooling off period!!
