Good morning all,
Another day for the " Ceremony invitation soap opera" 😅
Can I ask anyone who has received invites to also add the date they received their approval letter?
Just to understand if they are following a chronological order or it's totally at random.
Hello,

From what I have gathered most invitations so far on the forum for the 2nd March are from the 08 January approval wave. So it seems that they sent the 10am first, then 12:30pm and now 3pm invitation for the 2nd of March. Some invitations are from people who were approved on 19th November 2019. It gives me great hope that everyone who was recently approved will eventually get an invitation in the post in the next few days. :)
Good job in collating that info. There's still hope for the 3rd of March then. Fingers crossed here.
Thanks everyone for sharing the dates they received their approval letter.
I received my approval the 8th of January

Long time reader of this forum, just registered today.

Applied in Feb 18, got approval in Nov 19 and sent gnib and €950 but didn’t get invite for Dec ceremony.

Seems like anyone who received approval in Nov 19 and didn’t get invite for Dec ceremony has been forgotten about....it is very frustrating waiting and watching others receive approval after you but get invited before...is there anyone who got approval in Nov who got an invite?

Seems at this point if I do get an invite it won’t leave much time to book transportation, hotel, arrange child minder

BTW not begrudging anyone who got their invitations, big congratulations to you all

Congrats to everyone who has been approved thus far! I note that invitations are currently being issued. Out of curiosity, are any approvals being issued too?

I couldn’t get through to the helpline today and haven’t had any email replies.

Thank you.

Got an approval letter in November, didn't get invited for December ceremony and still no invitation for the March one. Since I don't have GNIB card on me I feel grounded and not able to plan anything.
Sorry for the rant guys, it just makes me wonder if my documents got accidently lost under the piles of paper Department has to deal with on everyday basis.
And of course, congratulations to everyone who made it through to the finish line and now officially becomes a part of this amazing gem Ireland!

I won’t lose hope now tbh, I got approval mid January and haven’t received my invite yet.

I emailed them today and within minutes i got a reply saying they’ll be sending invites in the next coming two weeks.

Hi. I am from Dundalk. No invitation yet.
Got the aproval in November, but because I wasn't able to attend the 9th December ceremony, I payed the 950 later on 3 of January. Hope to get invited to the March Ceremony.
I received the invitation today!! Ceremony on 2 March at 3pm.
So happy. Good luck to all that are still waiting.

I applied early Jan '19
Approved Nov '19 but not invited to Dec.

Received my invite today for 2nd March, 3pm.

I don't see many confirmations for 3rd so more invites are obviously yet to be posted or en-route so there is still hope for all those still waiting.

Hello,

I think we got our approval around the same time. Mine was dated 23 Jan 2020. A little bird told me that the invitations for the 3rd March will be reaching us soon. :)

Hooray, got my invite today. 3pm 2 March. Sent my cheque on 21 November. Obviously they are sending them in dribs and drabs. Good luck to everyone else waiting - your day will come.

I was approved in Nov and got my invitation yesterday. Noones received invitation for 3rd of March yet so there still hope esp if it’s three ceremonies per date. I was feeling just as dejected as you on the first day that invitations went out cus I thought surely ppl who missed the Dec Ceremony should get theirs first but there’s no telling what rhyme or reason they adopt when handling these things. There’s def still time though. I’d send them an email if you haven’t gotten one by tomorrow. Best of luck.
