One referee must be a person of professional standing, for example civil servant or member of a professional body. The other referee must hold a valid British passport and be either a professional person or aged at least 25 years old.

They will write to you if they are not happy with a referee.

Referees are rarely contacted.

I am sure you could say YES and leave it at that - as your daughter is British already it shouldn't really matter.

Timing could be anywhere from 2 months to 6+ months.
1. Receive approval letter / invitation for ceremony
2. Book ceremony
3. Attend ceremony where you receive certificate
4. Apply passport - online or paper form
