:D  .... After a long wait of 3 years n 3 months, finally I received my Approval Today... Its dated 18th February.. Asking to return GNIB in 10 days....Wishing everyone else best of luck.
Congratulations, did you take any steps pushed your application forward?
Thank you dear... Yes... They were replying with copy paste generic emails and letters, I went to a solicitor who threatened them that a Judicial Review will be initiated by the end of February, so before that date they issued my approval ... I should have done this before...

Congrats K - I must admit your entries here were quite reminiscent of journal entries and made me smile. :) Glad you’re making it!

CaptainF- Whoa! Good going! Congrats! Hopefully you’ll make it to this ceremony. :)

Congrats to everyone else who got approved and will make it to the March ceremonies!

My application is apparently in ‘advanced’ stage. Was told a few weeks ago on the phone that they got back everything they needed but it wasn’t submitted to the minister.. oh well. :(

Hopefully the next. :)

Congrats y’all. Xx

Goood moooorniiiing Ireland,

Finally Invite received..........

Thanks to God and Everyone for support and advises

You all were big hopes and lights and moral boosting colleagues for the past few weeks in this dark black hole kind of situation where uncertainty is certain.

All those who are still waiting keep your hopes ALIVE and support each other and put your DAILY input (regardless of some persons objection) as they can’t understand the dilemma we all going through and need to be boost our hopes morning evening and at nights)

Congratulations to all who survived and will be attending the Ceremony 2020!
Congrats am so happy for you.
Thanks everybody fir your wishes!

Yes a big relief!

Applied from Ireland - 2017
Spouse of Irish
Then things went into black hole

Not heard any thing till late 2019 except that in my middle of that period, 2018, when I send enquiry letters and emails they asked me to resubmit proof of address and other documents which initially I already submitted!

Then second black hole.....

Approval Jan 20
Invite 22 Feb

Good luck and wishes who are still waiting!

Congratulations, I can imagine your relief from such experience. I applied in May 2018 and still no result, except from copy/paste emails telling me not much information. Is it expensive to get involved a solicitor in such circumstances?

Thanks, definitely I'll look for a solicitor. Otherwise, it might take ages.

Does anyone still think invitations will be sent out this week?

Getting anxious. Got my approval on the 7th feb and sent gnib etc out the same day. They received on the 11th feb. My sister was only 3 days ahead of me in receiving approval and sending out her requirements but she got her invite last tuesday 18th feb.

Really worried now 🥺

Dublin, (Irish spouse + re-e-e-e-e-e-sidence)
-Feb 2019 applied
-June 2nd stage
-Jan 26th 2020-dated (Sunday!) approval (received by me on 28th)
-Jan 30th Ian Crowe signed for the registered envelope with my grand-draft+pics+card
-Feb 19th, I received the Invitation for March 3d 2:30PM (it is dated 17th, and post-stamped on the 18th)

So far I am not unhappy with the process. I'd give my team B+ or so.
Hope not to contract Covid-19 at the ceremony...

Someone wrote that invitations aren't sent by regular mail. I am pretty sure they are: there was a normal 095 stamp on mine. There are some other unfounded and unsound theories circulating here. But the most unsound one is probably true.

To put it verrry politely, the moderator on this forum appears to be unable or unwilling to control his anger. That is why I did not and will not post on the "Ireland" forum. Registered only to post this. Good luck!

I won’t lose hope now tbh, I got approval mid January and haven’t received my invite yet.

I emailed them today and within minutes i got a reply saying they’ll be sending invites in the next coming two weeks.
We hope

Hi Guys

My ceremony time is 12 pm on 3rd March and I will be coming from Dublin.

Is it a good option to take morning 7 am train from Houston ?
Is it enough time to reach Killarney before 12 or it's too risky ?
Any chance for train get delayed because it's not direct train, 1 change at mallow ?

Thanks

That is way too risky.

For your first leg, the train between Dublin and Cork has an on time rate of 90% (late for no more than 10 minutes). The 10% chance is way too high for me.
If that one is delayed for 15 minutes or more, you would have to wait for two more hours, which means you will not be able to catch the ceremony.

I hardly used train in Ireland for long travel.
Not sure about their frequency and late percentage.

This is really helpful, I will surely go 2nd March now.
Do not want to take risk.

Thanks

Good Morning Ireland!

You all guys paid load of fee like 950€ and invaluable and and priceless waiting time, sending post and all other things in relation to this day €o$t money and we all spend it willingly and happily, Don’t try to save it now and risk yourself loosing this long awaited moment and ambiance of ceremony and put yourself in another torture like situation

Please can I suggest, even if it feels over doing it,
plan to go a day before, get yourself a comfy room, even a budget room will do and make sure you are present there!
Don’t mess up one of the important day of your life, respect it, feel it, cherish it, You desrve it!

Plan Ahead, book your transport, bus, train whatever

If you are driving, drive safely, don’t rush, don’t put yourself in a position where you might have to rush or stressed unduly. Arrive Alive....not only physically but mentally also

Wish you all Good luck and

Fellow Dublin-to-Killarney-travellers, my ceremony is on the 3d.

But given the distance, I am planning on heading West on the 2nd. And since I've never been to Kerry, I am considering staying another night or two (4th or 5th depending on the weather as well) to explore the park, the coast etc.
I have already booked some accommodation but I plan on changing it anyway. I am looking at options but most likely I'll be driving there (and back).

Wow, they're really cutting it close with these invites. It's a bit crap for people only getting 1 weeks notice.

I would say “well done” to the processing team that still sending invites. I am sure people would be happy even if they get it one day before!!

It depends how you see it?! how long you have been waiting fir it?! How important is it in your life?!

Remember and view these invites coming after a long Delays and a big Clog that was there fir a while....

I otherwise do understand your point of giving enough time to attend, in current situation I don’t think most of us would mind even a descent enough notice for us to reach at the Ceremony!

When did you get your approval letter ?

Just for the sake of people who got approved recently and still waiting.... few questions

Roughly how many of you guys on this forum or you know personally still waiting for invites?

And Has anyone who were approved in Nov or missed Dec Ceremony still waiting? On this forum or if you know personally?

The new dates will be announced probably end April or early May, just a prediction from the recent past analysis..,,

Don’t your hopes and energy go away !

No I didn't receive any invitation 😭 I hope it was sent out today and maybe receive tomorrow but the recent post that the march ceremony is fully subscribed to makes me very doubtful. It sucks that there is no order to the system
