Parking Charge Notice and Citizenship

Post by KenBossini » Fri Jan 24, 2020 2:31 pm

Hi all,

I am in the process of applying for my citizenship. I have a parking charge notice in July 2019 for parking in the lot of a furniture showroom and forgetting to enter vehicle details at the showroom reception. Where do I need to declare this notice on the citizenship form?

"At any time have you ever had any of the following, in the UK or in another country?

1. A criminal conviction

2. A penalty for a driving offence, for example disqualification for speeding or no motor insurance

3. An arrest or charge for which you are currently on, or awaiting trial

4. A caution, warning, reprimand or other penalty

5. A civil court judgment against you, for example for non payment of debt, bankruptcy proceedings or anti-social behaviour

6. A civil penalty issued under UK immigration law"

I am thinking it should be no. 4. However, I would like some advice from you.

Thanks,
K.

Date of application

Post by KenBossini » Mon Feb 17, 2020 3:00 pm

Hi,

Apologies if this is a repitition, can someone please confirm which is considered as the date of application as there are several steps to the application?

A. Date of fees payment online
B. Date of the UKVI appointment
C. Date of verification of documents from post office

Also, is there a set time frame wrt to the application date within which referees have to sign their declaration?

Thanks,
K.

Date you submit and pay online.
Note that nothing is 'verified' from the post office. You apply through UKCVAS Sopra Steria, not the post office.

No but you only get the forms as part of the online process.

Documents

Post by KenBossini » Thu Feb 20, 2020 1:56 pm

Hi all,

I have uploaded my documents on the UKVCAS website.

1. Passport all pages (previous and current)
2. ILR BRP
3. LITUK pass letter
4. UK university degree certificate
5. Two referee declarations with my photo on them.

I am an Indian passport holder and got my ILR through tier2 5 year route. Do I need to submit any more documents?

Thanks,
K.

Document list looks ok.
