Hi! I've got the same issued in Feb 2020. I assume they changed the 5 year period to this reduced one to make it clear that we need to have the cards exchanged.albi93 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 10:19 pmhi, please if someone can help me and give advise.i have been issued with biometric resident card as EU(FM) on february 2020 valid until 30.06.2021. in the letter was writen that you can apply for EU SETTLEMENT SCHEME if you havent done,so i apply and waiting for decision. now the biggest concern for me is that after my resident card expires i cant find any information what i need to do next to move abroad. renew my resident or moving with SETTLE SCHEME?
No, from what is the collective forum knowledge, they won’t. You’ll get e-status for 5 years as you already have valid BRC for 1.5 years. When you want to have it changed, you’ll need to apply for exchange of card. You will need to return your EEA card.
Yes, if you don’t have valid RC they will send it. But you’ve got it. Did you tell this part to them?
