Citizenship help line

Post by kalyna » Thu Feb 27, 2020 10:12 am

Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you have ever managed to get through to Citizenship help line using phone number +353 62 32500. I am calling from Northern Ireland and all I get is either number is engaged or when I get through after 6-7 rings it says that the number I have called is not recognised. Any tips?
Thanks

Yes just keep trying. Sometimes I tried for more than 600 times on a Tuesday/Thursday morning and never got through

That's what I was doing - dialling non-stop from 10 to 12:30 on Tuesday. Was just concerned if the number given for calls from outside of the Republic was not connecting or not in service...

Just bad luck. Sometimes I got through within 10 minutes. They really need a queuing system or a callback system.

That was my guess. Can I ask you how you know they do that?

Yes phone line is closed today.
The telephone helpline contact centre will be temporarily suspended on the 27th of February, 3rd and 5th of March.

I managed to get through and spoke to the office. So the line for that number is working, but really it is just a matter of luck...

They are really weird... They said on their website themselves that the line is suspended today but then you got through...
