Claim Child Benefit with expired BRP

Post by aby00156 » Fri Feb 28, 2020 10:40 am

Hi,

I had applied for my sons ILR SET O PBS in december 2019 and am yet to hear a response from home office.
In this mean time his BRP is expired and his indian passport is also going to expire in next few months.

I want to apply for child benefits.

Can I apply using his expired BRP and passport?
So verily, with every difficulty, there is relief.

Yes in combination with child’s birth certificate, you can backdated child benefit up to 3 months, I assume you’re settled or British.
