Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) to Tier 1 (Innovator)

Hi everyone,

Can I switch to Tier 1 innovator from Tier 1 entrepreneur in the UK? I am tier 1 entrepreneur holder with first granted which expires Jan 2021. I may not be able to apply extension as it may not meet employments requirements. I am considering if I can switch to Tier 1 innovator this year and then apply innovator visa extension so that in I can apply settlement for this "You may be able to apply for settlement (known as ‘indefinite leave to remain’) once you’ve been in the UK for 3 years."

The Innovator visa is not a 'tier 1' visa.

You can switch if you can get an endorsement and prove funds for investment.

My understanding is that you also need 3 years on the Innovator visa before you qualify for ILR and you must meet the requirements per the Immigration rules W6, link below.
