UKBA Form NQ - Home Office messed it up, how do I fix it?

Hi all,

I am applying for an Italian Passport.

I needed proof that my Italian mother never naturalised in the UK, so I asked her to submit form NQ to the Home Office

It was clear on the form that her status was to be checked, and that the results should be sent to me.

However, they made a mistake and wrote back to me with my status.

I tried the number and they just told me I couldn't find out anything over the phone and had to write to them.

I paid 250 pounds for this so am reluctant to apply again. I have written back to them but after about 10 days I have no response.

Should I just wait or is there anything else I can do here?
