Delay in decision for tier-2 General priority visa

Post by simarimu » Thu Apr 09, 2020 6:23 am

Hi, i need some help . Pls answer.
Currently I’m on ICT primary and my Visa is valid till Sep 2022.
My spouse got tier-2 general (primary) on Jan 2020.
I applied for Tier-2 general dependent and completed the procedure on 23Mar 2020 at Croydon sopra Center. The application mode was priority.

So far I’ve not received any decision and when called the call Center, they asked me to write an email to home office. I got a email reply stating it’s taking time to reach a decision . I’m not sure what is wrong with my application ( along with mandatory documents, I attached my current payslips, appointment letter from ICT company)
I’ve following questions

1. Due to covid19 , is there delay in general to arrive at decision?
2. Is it wrong to attach information as payslip, appointment letter from ICT company as addditiomal document when applying for Tier-2 general dependent? Will it cause rejection?

Pls help me to understand this.. thanks

1. Yes, there are delays everywhere

2. Adding extra-documents / too much documents / documents they didn't ask for don't cause rejection but may delay your application. You always need to submit requested documents no more, no less.

Thank you for your response. It's been a month since there is no official letter has been received.
I assume there are delays everywhere due to COVID-19. The call centre also doesn't have any info on the application, as they are not having access to the system. Looks like I've to wait for more time without any decisions.

Delay in decision for tier-2 General priority visa

Post by simarimu » Tue Jun 02, 2020 5:12 pm

Hi,
I need some help. I've applied my visa within the UK on 23rd March 20 (moving from Tier2 ICT primary to Tier-2 General) in priority mode. the current ICT leave expires only next year. In the last 9 weeks, I called the call center few times and only yesterday they escalated the case.

Today I received this email, which confuses me more.

Thank you for your enquiry.

Prior to making a decision on your application, a number of mandatory checks need to be completed. Although we aim to decide all applications within our published service standards, this is not always possible as the length of time taken to complete these checks is dependent on the individual circumstances of each case.
Whilst I appreciate the delays are frustrating for the applicant UKVI policy and procedures must remain intact. Once the application has been concluded, you will be updated accordingly.

Has anyone received similar response? , or my application has some issues?

Regards
Siva

Hi CR01, Thanks for your response. I'll follow your suggestion going forward.

Yes, I understand, there are delays. However the response coming from them is more confusing, and making me anxious whether I'd done some mistakes in my application. . if others are also receiving similar response, then I can assume this is an automated/template response.. that's all
