Gnib stamp query

Post by Sheh1984 » Thu Feb 20, 2020 12:44 am

Hi guys. Looking to get some advice. 3 years go my wife and I got stamp 4 on basis of our Irish national child. Since then I have become Irish as well. My wife has applied for naturalisation it's in process but her stamp 4 expires in a few months time. When we go gnib office will she be given further 3 years on basis of our child/ zambrano? or will it be changed to spouse of irish national??. I think as a spouse of irish national you don't pay 300 but as a parent of irish national you still have to pay the gnib fee. Thank you.

If you are Irish, just bring your marriage cert to the registration office so that your wife can be registered under SOIN instead of Zambrano.

Hi guys. Just need a bit of advice. My wife's permission is expiring on the 21st May and the gnib office is currently closed, I am very worried about when we can renew her stamp 4 permission (SOIN) as without a valid stamp she won't be able to continue her job. I am already laid off work due to covid 19 myself. Do you reckon will Inis grant an temporary extension for people who's permission expires after 20 th May while the office is currently closed?? Thanks

Further notice will be published i believe. It is likely that they will extend temporary permission to those whose visa expired after 20th May 2020.
