Tier 2 dependent ILR

Post by HazMaz » Mon Dec 23, 2019 2:17 am

Hi,
I want to apply for ILR through Tier2 route (5 years route). I have 27 days paid leave every year. My work allow me to work remotely sometimes. During my second year at work I arranged a holiday for two weeks (10 working days), then work remotely two weeks, and then do another two weeks holiday. In total this was count as 37 days to stay outside the UK but 20 days of holidays. Will this affect my application for ILR?

Thanks,
h

Verbal Warning and ILR

Post by HazMaz » Fri May 08, 2020 10:50 am

Hi all,
Last night I was driving and a friend with me. I went to provide a care for another friend and found this friend with me so I was taking him back home. Police stopped me and asked for the reason to be out with a friend this time and I explained. They issued a verbal warning and said they will put a mark on the car so I don't do it again! They didn't hand my any paper and I didn't sign anything.
I am supposed to apply for 5-years route ILR early next year. will this affect my application? Should I mention it in the application? will the police send me a letter with the incident? if I checked my police record DBS will show the incident? and how it is going to affect my application if it does show or not.
Sorry I know these are lot of questions but it kept me worry last night.

Thank in advance

NO effect on ILR. Only a recordable conviction have an effect on ILR

Thank you very much :)

What do you mean by recordable conviction? If the officer handed me a notice does it mean it is recordable?

You made my day :)

Recordable offences affect your criminal record. Recordable offences are serious offences that could carry a prison sentence under the law

Tier 2 dependent ILR

Post by HazMaz » Fri Aug 07, 2020 5:02 pm

Hi,
I need your help please.
I am on Tier 2 (general) visa since Mar-2016. My wife is dependent on the same visa since Apr-2016.
She was out of the UK between Dec-2019 and Mar-2020 (exactly 100days). Now she needs to be out of the country again for some training for another 100 days.
My question is will she need to count any absence? If yes, should it be on rolling basis or consecutive bases?

Appreciate your help because this will determine her career future.

Thanks alot,
H

Tier 2 dependent absences are only counted if she has a visa issued on or after 11th January 2018. If she has a current visa issued before this date, there is no absence limit.

Tier 2 dependent ILR

Post by HazMaz » Sat Aug 08, 2020 10:44 pm

Hi all,
I have my tier 2 (general) visa issued on 5-Apr-2016 and expires on 29-Mar-2021. Can I apply for ILR on 8-Mar-2021 (28 days before the 5 years continous residency)?
My wife PBS dependant visa issued on 03-May-2016 and expires on 29-Mar-2021. Now, this will not let her cover the 5 years continous residency. What shall she do? Apply for a kind of visa extension? if yes what kind of visa extension should she apply for? and when?

Many thanks in advance,
h

Both apply for ILR using one application. Submit Biometrics on a day which both of you are eligible for ILR

But when I apply on 8-Mar-2021, she will be short of the 5 years continous residency?

Sorry but I need to understand this.
If we apply on 8-Mar-2021 then she will need another 28 days to be have the 5 years (-28 days before the application). How can I garntee the date of the decision then?

Hi,
I am due to apply for ILR next March on Tier 2 general. My daughter and son are on tier 2 dependent visa. Both were born in the UK and both are under 6 years old. So, on March next year should I include them in my ILR application or wait till I got my application accepted then register them as British citizens ?
If they are registered as British citizen, will this mean they get a passport?

Thanks alot,
h

They do NOT require ILR if you plan on registering them as British once you have ILR.
If they are registered as British citizen, will this mean they get a passport?
Yes, they can apply for a British passport once they are approved as British and you receive the registration certificate.

Also please ask your questions in the British citzenship sub forum next year when you are ready to apply.
