Any Tier-1 (General) new applicants??

Hi Guyz

I talked with HO today and asked about my status which i have applied on 19th june

The guy said your case is with Management now.... caseworker has done his work so your case is with the management... and no decision has been made yet.

Does any one know what does its mean..... ???

Why don't you wait till decision arrives?

Dont worry Sadiq, it is at the final stage now, the case worker has approved it. the final signature of the manager is left and off for stamping and dispatch.

Just pray the manager agrees with the case worker, what were you switching from?

if the case worker doesn't agree with the case, it wont get to the management, it would have been returned to immediately.

I am switching from IGS TO TIER 1...

Do they first send approved letter before, or they just send passport and all documents together ?

they send all the documents together with stamping in your passport.

Actually i spoke to the CC yesterday and he said my case is with the Mgr and he put me on hold and spoke to the manager i think, and got back to me and he said, it is around Vignetts or dispatch and that i should sent an urgent request if i need them to action my Vignetts (Stamping) and dispatch the soonest.

Guys who got connected with HO must be really lucky as I have been trying to reach them over phone for the past 4 days but in vain.

Refernce No : PB3092* (never received it by post)
Approval date : July 30th
Received :August 14th

Applied with UK sal and bank statements. Did not send any urgent treatment.

congrats man, i am still waiting for mine yet. but hopefully i will receive it shortly

I called HO today (after 25 minutes on hold ) , I was told it is still under consideration.

I am guessing , our case worker is same (pcmalik, xvid) .


When I asked it is 10 weeks now , they said there is no service standards.

Did they even took ur refrence number??

I have tried few times this nmorning, as soon as they hear "Tier-1", they just say we cant give and updates on individual cases and there is no service standards

I dnt know how other people are managing to get the updates on individual cases.

It is difficult to get through and is completely ramdom. I was trying for last 4 days .

It amazes me how people have got specific updates.


The way I am seeing iis , if they wanted to reject they would have done by now. Since it is taking time , they are processing it (+ve attitude !!!)

I just called CC and there was an automatic message saying "Due to office relocation, we are closing now.....Sorry for the inconv caused"...

So i hope Tier1 team is relocating thier office... Hope they relocate our documents properly...

I have very similar timlines to u arun. whts been the latest update for you. everytime i call them they dnt give out any update and give the same answer.........we are currentlyt processing applications recieved on so and so date..........

Hopefully this wait will bring good results at the end.

Even though I’m working in UK for an Indian company on secondment, apart from UK HSBC bank statement, all other documents like payslip(both India & UK) , India Bank statement, edu certificate etc...are in Indian address.

In this case do they send the documents to India and use Integra to verify or how do they verify from here.

If some agency from UK calls up India and verify, i'm really scared of how that communication would be and what would be the outcome...

They have there agancy in india who work for UKBA .They will call u r employer in india to verify about job but not sure about uk company verfication .In my case indian agency who work for UKBA call my old employer.

Hi All,
I have been a silent member of this forum.I would like to share the good news that my Tier-1 has been approved and i have received my docs back today.
My timelines are as given

Applied on - 21 June 08
Received at HO - 24 June 08
Payment deducted - 24 June 08
Visa stamped on - 13 Aug
Received docs back - 15 Aug.

***I did request for urgent treatment on 22 July 08. Not sure whether that had any significance as everytime later when i tried ringing,I got the same standard reply "under consideration". Well later on I had to take a harsh decision to go ahead and withdraw my application.I know it was a tough one but then I was left with no other option. I have to travel next week to India due to an unavoidable family cause..
So I send a fax again on 11 Aug requesting them if they could consider my application urgently ,or in the worst case that I would be happy to withdraw..Probably that is why I got it so soon.

I sincerely thank all those who have contributed their views to help one another achieve this.My hearty wishes to those who are awaiting results...
