Hi There
I received this Email today

Dear Mr xxxx

Thank you for your email. I apologise for the delay in your application being resolved. I am pleased to inform you that your application has been successful. Unfortunately, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, confirmation letters and citizenship ceremonies have been delayed in accordance with government guidelines. Please be assured that you will receive further information in due course.
Many congratulations for the approval. Can you please share the timeline and which email you contacted and get response from?

Thanks.
Can you look at the timeline thread where the user posted today instead of turning the general discussion topic into a repetitive, duplicate timeline thread.

british-citizenship/naturalisation-appl ... l#p1902991
Okay I agree shouldn’t have asked for timeline here, but I specifically asked for where he contacted? number of peoples contacted many different emails and get responses from. Early May, i was replied by NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk that decision made, but since i send them twice the email about decision letter, they didn’t reply ... so in asking people where they contacted ...
yes i emailed the same email you mentioned but i emailed them i think 5 times and i got answer today after 5 emails

Hello All,

Just wanted to share my experience. I am still waiting for the decision on my naturalisation application submitted on 3rd May 2019. Its been 1 year and still no news.. Refugee route, 10 years in the UK with ILR and still waiting. I had 2 traffic offences back in 2013 which are now fully clear.. I received an email from CT6 unit (I don't know which unit that is whether they are case workers or not) informing me that application is still on going and they will make decisions as soon as they can.. This is after I sent several emails requesting for an update. I'm sure there are a lot of people like me still waiting so just wanted to tell that you are not alone.
Hi
Have you still got no news on your application?

Hi all,

For anyone who has received confirmation (approval) via email, can I ask what the subject line of the email was? I'm a bit concerned that mine may have gone into junk or spam... Did you have this experience at all?

Thanks,

Emelia

applied on 09.02.2020
I have notice later on that i was half day abroad that day 5 years ago will that be a problem?

I did contact the home office however there was a generic reply:

Thank you for your email.
Your application is currently progressing through the system as normal, applications are currently taking approx. 6 months to process, however due to the current corona virus pandemic this may take longer as UKVI is operating with reduced staffing levels as per current government guidelines.
We will contact you should we require any further information or once a decision has been made.
Kind regards,
UKVI

Hello everyone.

I have an application submitted on 24.02.2020 and I just realized few weeks ago that unfortunately I don't meet the physical presence exactly 5 years before that as I was back home on 23.02.2015 for a week .
I emailed HO on every email possible telling them about that and if possible to re date my application or at least give me any decision so I can start a fresh one ,but no answers what so ever.
I just emailed my MP today asking him for help in this matter .

Any advices please of anything more I can do?

Thanks in advance

From what I've seen on this forum, in these cases the caseworker is usually asking the applicant to "redeclare" their application, so the date would change. If that would be the only issue with your application, I highly doubt that it would be rejected. It's fixable.

I just want to know if nowadays everyone getting the approval/confirmation of Naturalisation application by email? As far as I remember one of my friend got it by post in early 2019.
Apologies for the silly question, but I am bit baffled whether to check email or post everyday.
Thanks

This is due to the current situation with many UKVI staff presumably working from home - whether this is the new preferred communication is not known.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

I had my biometrics taken in march just before the government shutdown and back then the woman in the office told me I will receive my answer via email, so my assumption is that it is now preferred method.

Hey,

I got this email by contacting <nationalitysupportteamfmt@homeoffice.gov.uk> on 1st week of may, after that I contacted them 3 times about decision letter but they did not reply.

I also contacted <FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk> mentioning previous correspondence but they said they forwarded my progress request to relevant department to reply back, but no emails about decision so far ...

If anyone know where else should I contact, please let me know.

I'm in a similar situation. In April I received an email that a decision on my application was made, but I haven't received a formal letter. After a month passed, I tried emailing nationalitysupportteamfmt@homeoffice.gov.uk twice. Eventually got a response from the caseworker that a confirmation of the decision would be sent once ceremonies resume.

Hi Standrews.hope you are well

I emailed NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists@homeoffice.gov.uk. the reply was that they advise that the application is approved however due to COVID 19 and the staff not being in office.letters have not been issued at this time.ans as soon as the situation has improved i should get a letter for attending a ceremony.
But to be honest i wished if I did email Nationalitycaseworkdecisions@homeoffice.gov.uk
As one of the member( please see earlier pages in this thread) here had emailed this address and got the decisions next day

My application was submitted on the 23 of August.so it is really a long time although I assume that the decision had been made on April .but here we are. Still waiting for the letter and the invitation to the ceremony.

Hope this helps

Hi Sous49,

Thanks for your message and apologies to members if I offended them asking where they contacted for an update ...

I sent multiple emails but not a single reply from anyone, I was only replied once in May that decision being made and I should get it shortly.

I applied in mid January, so I assume they will update me close to the 6 months timeline. Being furloughed from March, just an extra anxiety when people get reply and even decision letters, while having clean immigration history of no overstay or criminal record and high tax payer.

I hope we all get it soon.

Hello everyone

I am delighted to finally inform you that my application has been successful. I am going to post my timeline if anyone is interested. I applied back in September, so that was a bit of a wait. I also did not have the CSI thing but they did not even ask me about it. I have also been abroad since January on a university placement and it does not seem to have been a problem. I just received it by email.

Good luck to everyone and try to keep calm. Easier said than done, I actually considered withdrawing my application last week. But you'll get there.

Now waiting for ceremonies to resume!

PS: I am not sure that it actually had an effect but I did email them on Tuesday on the usual MMST email address and got an automatic reply instantly (in the middle of the night).

Don't worry , you will be ok.i am so sure
Many emails i sent i had either no reply , a very generic one , or even contradicting ones

Even now. They haven't sent me the decision .it is me who chased them.

Good luck .

Hi ,

I have submitted my application on March 24th and paid the fee hoping to get an appointment before COVID shutdown only to realise UKVCAS already stopped taking new appointments.

I got a default email acknowledgement and case ID from Home Office on March 30th stating that my application is received and is being considered.

I have two queries and your advise:
1. On my online application, there is this note:
Attend an appointment to provide your documents and biometrics by 29 May
You must book and attend an appointment with UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services (UKVCAS) to provide your evidence and biometrics (fingerprints and facial photograph). We will send you a reminder after this date if you have not attended an appointment
Not sure if I should worry about this. It says I must book appointment but also says Home Office would send a reminder. I haven't received any. Should I send an email?

2. UKVCAS is now operating with few centres, but I do not see any slots available (I am applying from Newcastle and the local centre is not open if that matters). Anyone managed to get appointments lately? I do not see any posts in this regard. Do I need to wait?

Thanks in Advance,
Gona

Some of us called HO regarding Biometrics deadline.
It’s fine as they know it’s nothing we can do except for wait when no appointments are available.
Just call them too so you don’t need to worry.

The last UKVCAS update was last Friday.
We should keep checking the page, it’s says they are starting new phases and maybe something comes from the week after next week.
It makes sense to check regularly to see updates.
It’s correct there are at this point still no available appointments for those who didn’t have one before the closure.
