Schengen Visa – Parent PK with ILR – Children British

We wish to visit few EU countries (road trips) in the summer holidays (subject to end of lock-down).
I’m Pakistani citizen with ILR in the UK where my children hold British passports.

I will appreciate if anyone can help me with following questions:
Do I need Schengen Visa?
Multiple or Single Entry?
From where?
Costs?

What are the requirements?

If anyone visited (ILR holder) EU on Schengen Visa please share experience and tips etc.

Hi,

Even though you are a family member, the definition of EU/EEA citizen's family member(s) is a bit complicated.

Family members are:
1.Spouse/partner/common law spouse
2.The direct descendants (children) who are under the age of 21 or are dependents, and those of the spouse or partner.
3.The dependent direct relatives in the ascending line (e.g. parents) and those of the spouse or partner

In a nutshell, either 1 or 3 fits you. For 3 - you must prove that you are dependent on your children. This means that they (children) have jobs and salaries and are somehow supporting you financially.

Since you have ILR, you will definitely get a visa. You will have to pay though - about 80 Euros or a bit more depending on services you choose (if TLS Contact etc) and the consulate of the country you apply.
