Residency requirements

Post by smartinventor » Sat Jun 27, 2020 1:04 pm

Hello everyone,

I hold foreign nationality and I live in Saudi Arabia holding temporary residency (Iqama) that I renew on an annual basis, I'll submit my application for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent next month, I'm wondering if there are any residency requirements for submitting my application? like I must have at least 6 months in my Saudi residency same as other type of visas like tourist and student?

Looking forward to hearing from you

Best

You simply need to be a legal resident in the country you are applying from, i.e. a valid residence visa and not a tourist or visitor visa.

Note that overstaying your visa in any country can have implications for future applications in the UK as this questions is asked in most application forms.

Thank you CR001 for your reply, I agreed on that I need to be legal resident but my main concern is that I have only 3 months left in my residency, does this will cause any issues?
Because usually if someone needs to apply for a student or visitor visa from Saudi Arabia needs to have at least 6 months on his/her Residency.

Looking forward to hearing from you
