Hi All,

I had applied for a fresh tier 1 visa at the New Delhi VFS on 24th July. I collected my passport yesterday (20th August) with the stamped Visa.

All in all, less than 4 working weeks for my application.

Cheers

My friend has applied for Tier1 on 23rd of june.As he has to leave UK in the last week of july.He sent an urgent treatment letter on 10th of july.
HO considered his case and refused it saying that salary cannot be corrobrated. He supplied P60 and bank statements for 12 months.
According to them the net salary after deducting the tax in P60 is not equal to the net salary shown in bank statement. Actually his company also deduct NI contribution before depositing the salary in bank.So because of that there was a difference in net salary. I was alway under the impression that HO only concern with gross salary. What else they want gross salary is shown on P60 and net salary is getting deposited in bank.

If its a special delivery 9:00 am they deliver it before 9:00 and of its the normal special devlivery they deliver any time before 1:00 pm , but if you know the reference number you can track the progress online

Hi All,

As I got my Passport yesterday and thought of sharing my timelines and explain about my case which is typical complex dual salary case.

To start with…..

14-Jun-08 : Posted my application thru Royal Mail
16-Jun-08 : HO received my application
18-Jun-08 : Fee deducted to my Credit Card (date on my statement)
21-Jun-08 : Ref. No. Recd. (dated 17 Jun)
31-Jul-08 : Called CC and got a reply that they haven’t assigned my case to any CW, but will be taken soon
04-Aug-08 : Tier 1 was approved (from the letter date)
07-Aug-08 : Called CC. Still with CW and she is working on it. Requested for courier pickup.
11-Aug-08 : Residence Permit stamped in the passport for 3 years. I.e. valid till 04-Aug-11
18-Aug-08 : Called CC. Still with CW and they are working on it. No more information given
19-Aug-08 : Call from CW asking me arrange for a courier pickup
20-Aug-08 : Received my Passport

Now let me explain my case which would reflect most of the Indian professionals working here in UK on onsite assignment.

1. I get two salaries for the time I’m in UK. One in India with Tax deduction and one in UK (as allowance) with only net figure. There is no Tax deduction shown in the payslip as tax would be paid by my employer. So my UK Payslip will have gross and net figures same without any tax figures and no P60.
2. I have been in multiple countries in the period of 12 months I have claimed. To summarize
14-May-07 22-Jul-07 India
23-Jul-07 10-Dec-07 UK
11-Dec-07 20-Jan-08 India
21-Jan-08 30-Apr-08 UK

I explained the same in the covering letter about my case.

3. I submitted my both India and UK Payslip (sealed and signed from India Finance team) and I submitted Indian bank statement and UK Bank statement.
4. My UK Bank statement contains the word “Duplicateâ€
