Electronic copy or Hard Copy Scan

Post by saliame » Sat Jul 04, 2020 7:40 am

Hi,

I hope everyone is well, just wanted to confirm whoever has applied or plan to apply ILR in near future is providing scan of an electronic copy or you are actually getting a hard copy then scanning it?

Like for employer letter I have an option to receive by email rather than collecting a hard copy from the HR office and scanning it similarly what about bank statement?

Thanks in advance.

KR,

S

Apologies if this has already been asked, I had a brief look but couldn't find.

Electronic copies are fine. No need to verify.

I am also in similar situation where I have electronic payslips and found some instructions from offcial Tier 2 Guide. Please see below:

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... gov-uk.pdf

Check page: 91

--------------------------------------------

The payslip must:

- be the most recent given and be dated no earlier than 31 days before the date of the application
- be the formal payslip issued by the employer which clearly shows the employer’s name

If the payslip is a printout of an online payslip the applicant must provide a letter on company headed paper from the employer and signed bya senior official, confirming the information on the payslip is accurate -this letter canbe posted, faxed or scanned and emailed to you.

Although with new UKVCAS system, the evidence can be copies or originals but in Tier 2 case, its best to follow the guidance as stated above. You just need to get a letter from your employer that the payslips are genuine. No need to individually verify them.

Yes, it's confusing and my suggestion is that get your payslip endorsed from your employer.

It's worth doing at this stage as large investment in the form of ILR fee is on stake, it's good idea to make sure on all things. Even if electronic payslips/letters are acceptable by UKVI, in the case of any doubts if UKVI do any verification checks it may delay ILR decision. By having payslip endorsed and orginal hard copy letters will be helpful.

Hard copy documents not posted to HO anymore so the legible scanned copy uploaded should suffice.
However keep looking for the original certificate or ask the Uni for replacement. It comes handy for reasons beyond immigration.

Also, you might even not be attending UKVCAS at all if you are chosen for biometrics reuse which is UKVI’s new policy.

Re: Application Submission and Doc Upload

Post by saliame » Tue Jul 28, 2020 9:28 am

Thanks for the above answers.

Please can I also confirm if I can apply and upload the documents to UKVCAS on different dates?

Like I apply today and upload the documents to UKVCAS website next week? One of my letter is pending which is holding me back in uploading all the docs to UKVCAS straightaway.

Thanks an advance.

You can upload your documents between the day of online application till the day of biometric appointment.
However, note that supporting documents should normally not be dated after the application submission date.
