English requirement for Tier4

I am bit confused about English requirement for getting admission in UK university and apply for Tier4 visa. Do I have to pass IELTS type of exam or if I can letter from NARIC with my overseas degree, will that be enough.

It depends. Many people are exempt from needing to prove their knowledge of English, because of their nationality or their previous study. If not, your university normally does the assessment itself, but some may ask you for a secure English language test.

The university will confirm your knowledge of English on the CAS, and if any evidence of it is required for your visa application it will be listed on the CAS.
