ILR - SET M- Cash Savings for Financial Requirement

Post by lush » Fri Apr 03, 2020 4:28 pm

Hi All,
I'm in the middle of switching jobs and i don't want to use my employment to meet the requirement.
Please I'd like to find out how much it is to meet the financial requirement using cash savings for ILR SET M

I read online it is

(x minus 16,000) = y

where y is 18600.

x - 16,000 = 18600
x = 34600.

Is it £34600 for the ILR Stage or £62500 for the ILR Stage. I'm due to apply in July and I like to get to myself ready.

Please let me know. Thank you very much all!

£34600 assuming no extra dependant.

Thank you.
Do you know if anyone has met the financial requirement for ILR using £34600. I'm asking because my solictor reckons, I might not met the requirement if I dont have £62500 and he won't advice using £34600. He reckons its a grey area.

Does this make him incompetent?

Stay away from that type of solicitors who even don't read the basic guidance - Appendix FM 1.7 which clearly state that reminder balance after deducting £16000 from the cash savings balance isn't divided by 2.5.

Cash savings for FLRM:

£18600×2.5+16000= £62500

Cash savings for ILR:

£18600+16000= £34600

I suspect some solicitor test their guessed advice over innocent applicant.

ILR Savings query

Post by lush » Fri Jul 10, 2020 4:11 am

Please can you confirm how many months you submitted initially?

I’m applying for ILR Set M next week using Cash Savings of over £40k

I believe the threshold for the cash savings is a minimum of £34600.

I’m applying alone. Would downloading statements from my internet banking application to cover the 6 months requirement suffice? Or do I have to get the bank to stamp them?

Also please can you share the text you you should for the cash declaration. The funds are from our savings.

ILR Savings query

Post by lush » Fri Jul 10, 2020 4:37 am

Perfect Thank you.

It’s in the same format as the one they would have posted home.

Please how do I write the declaration of funds letters?

Also do I need a letter from the bank stating how long I have had the funds there?

Thanks

My 5 years Make would be 24th July 2020 as I entered the Uk on the 24th July 2015.
Can I apply next week 20th July 2020?

Thanks so much In advance.

Mistake on my ILR Application

Post by lush » Fri Aug 07, 2020 4:24 pm

I came here when I was young and my parents did try to regularise our stay but it wasn’t successful but we are not required to leave. I just found out now.

I left volountarily in 2007 and got married and came back in 2015

I’ve just submitted my ILR application now and I stated I was required to leave but I only just found out I was not required to leave the UK

What do I do?

I haven’t done my biometrics yet as I was told they would reuse my previous biometric.

Please help me.

Won't make difference. For own peace of mind a covering letter can be attached.

Thank you.
I was so worried, I was already thinking of withdrawing the application then I remembered this forum.

Thank you very much. I will be uploading a cover letter stating this mistake as you suggested.

Hello Again,

I've just realised I mistakenly selected required to leave instead of disclosing my previously rejected application in Oct 2003,

What do i do?

Can I withdraw the application without losing money?

Can i make corrections on the application form and upload it with a cover letter?

You can withdraw your application before biometrics to receive the refund where some tenuous fee might be deducted as admin fee. But before undertaking this manoeuvre, you need to assess that whether will you be able in regathering the same documents with recent dates before your visa expiry? Alternatively a covering letter pointing out this mistake might work.

Thanks Seagul,

I have a follow on question.
Where do I sent the cover letter to please?
I’ve already submitted my documents on Ukcvas website, so I can’t upload anymore documents.

If I was to withdraw the application.
Do you know how long it will take please?

I only have about 8 days left to be able to use my current evidence.

Thanks in advance.

This is the information I put on the application regarding the required to leave the uk/refused leave to remain

My first time in the UK was in August 2002, I came in with my Dad and my elder sister on a visiting visa.
I was only 15 at the time. When my dad applied to extend our stay, we were all refused and required to leave the UK. I left voluntarily in August 2008.

Does this make any difference?

Many thanks.

Do you know how long it will take please? The withdrawal/cancellation of application is immediate once you follow and complete the process online. Should be done before biometrics appointment.

I only have about 8 days left to be able to use my current evidence.

Thanks in advance.

There is no specific email address unless UKVI themselves contact you and in which case you might be able in forwarding it to them.

Post by lush » Mon Aug 17, 2020 10:20 am

Hi All,

My Biometrics appointment is tomorrow.

I've uploaded all my documents and submitted,
Do i need carry all the evidence to the appointment tomorrow as well.

I also make a mistake on my letter, I've uploaded the covering letter and the application form to the portal but I'm not able to submit, i guess this is because I submitted the documents already.

Please does anyone know if the they can still submit these documents for me at the appointment?

Thanks

You can if you wish, this is in case something needs to be rescanned.

You do NOT have to upload the online application form.
Please does anyone know if the they can still submit these documents for me at the appointment?
