Wife's permission expiring on the 21st May 2020

Post by Sheh1984 » Sat Mar 21, 2020 9:47 am

Hi. Just in reference to the announcement from Inis yesterday of closure of burgh Quay office and automatic permission renewal from 20/3 to 20/ 5. My wife's permission expires on the 21st May we had our appointment booked in April. I'm worried now what will happen or when she will be able to renew?. Thank you

Similar problem here. My partner arrived on a long-stay D visa on February 21st, had her appointment booked for INIS registration on March 27th. Her permission expires on May 21st, so the announcement has left us in limbo about what's going to happen. If she has to return home, it'll be a disaster.

Provisions are in place to assist people who find themselves in this unfortunate position, as Garda (Local immigration officers) are no longer open.

Obie what do mean by this. I've been reading the inis website, haven't seen anything related to my situation yet 🙈

Did anyone got a reply from the immigration about this particular situation? Our situation wasn't mentioned on inis visa extension

Thanks

Hi guys. Just to get a bit of advice. I will applying for my wife's stamp 4 renewal. The last stamp 4 was for 3 yrs on basis of Zambrano. But now since I'm a irish national I'm looking to get her stamp 4 as spouse of irish. Can I apply online now or will wait till the 20 th July. Her automatic 2 month renewal expires on 21st July. Thank you. Also what documents shud I upload?.?

All normal renewals start on 20 July, unless you have an urgent need to travel abroad.

If you need to change the registration reason (Zambrano to Irish spouse), you cannot use the online portal. The online portal for now can only handle renewals based on the same reason of your last permission.

Just to let you know, your wife's permission was automatically renewed for another one month based on yesterday's announcement. So, new expiry date would be 21 Aug
