**** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I applied my ILR set 0 single on july 8 th and yesterday midnight i received that i am eligible to USE the App.
after having many thoughts about whether to OPT out or not finally i decided to OPT OUT.

just wandering whether are there many applicants since MAR to MAy who didnt receive any decision or been recognized in to REUSE bio metric?

UKVCAS could only invite for people from May to July within very few days is i think because they have put many people in to reuse category. Also i believe in the past month lot of appointment slot got wasted not having enough applicants or their price was inflated.

hopefully with opening up of new service points there won't be any delays for new appointments. and again thinking if evryone come out of the IDV app may be this could also create congestion.

Anyone here who opted out and was able to book an appointment after that? If yes, can you please post the timeline.

wanted to ask when did u applied and how much you have to pay to book an appointment?

I applied in 17 July. I can only see some available slots in London and Birmingham Both in Premium lounge, from 339£ to 540£.

thanks.is that the amount u have to pay normally or they increased it recently?also can u check availability in manchester please?

Forgot to mention we have 4 people so it must be £135 or less per person. Just checked and there are some slots in Manchester cost £135.

Those who can see appointments, could you kindly share if there are there lots of availability in London in the next 2 weeks?

There are some around 20 August but not many. I didn’t check all the centres in London though.

quick update - we had our biometrics appointment last week and just now received the ILR approval email. BRPs have been dispatched and should be with us within 10 days!

This was super quick - I was prepared to wait for the 6-month timeline in the Standard application process. Application mid June and decision Early August in the Coronavirus hit times isnt bad at all.

All the best to everyone, especially the ones waiting for Biometric reuse.

Hi, we are not eligible for biometric reuse. We received an email yesterday asking us to book an appointment so we can access the booking system.

Congratulations, I am sure people who will submit biometrics using IDV app will have the same turn around because interim decisions would've been made after we clicked submit button on UKVCAS.

this is just so unfair.. i just cant believe they are doing this to march and april applicants.

applied online - April 1

received "eligible for biometrics reuse" email on July 4.
clicked submit documents button on July 13
received IDV app eligibility on August 3
saying "wait for few weeks"

i have applied on April yet i have seen June applicants receiving approval email.

I also received the email last night saying I am eligible for re use and around the app. One thing I've not done yet is upload my documents to UKVCAS and the email I received states the following 'This new, free to use, way of submitting information to UKVI will involve you taking a photo of yourself and uploading supporting information onto your mobile device. '

So I take it on the new app, we will be uploading documents via this and also the photo. So is it not worth uploading the documents to UKVCAS now or just waiting until the app comes out?

"wait few weeks" . i dont want to opt out and gamble.. but what they have done to all "reuse biometrics applicants" who applied in march and april is unfair.. they could have given us the chance to book an appointment last May or June.. but they chose to stall us.

Im in the same boat im so angry have nothing to say other than this is completely rubbish system and rubbish management
