Deposit and 28days rule

Post by mshakeel2002 » Thu Mar 19, 2020 4:50 pm

I am applying for post graduation...

> I will pay £2000 Deposit (out of 10,000) as deposit to uni to get CAS Letter
> I have £2000 right now but remaining £8000 + (1265x9) will be with me after 2 months

My question is:

If i pay £2000 Deposit now... remaining £8000 + (1265x9) will be in my account in 2 months , so by the time i will apply for visa i will show £8000 + (1265x9) maintained for 28 days...BUT.... what about the deposit do i have to maintain that for 28 days as well? if yes then my bank statement will only have £2000... once paid it will be 0 amount...then after 2 months remaining £8000 + (1265x9) will come does it effect the 28 days rule in any ways??

Do i must have £2000 + £8000 + (1265x9) in my bank account today maintained from more then 28 days while making the depsoit payment?

please help.
thanks

Who are you asking for?? If asking on behalf of someone else, please state this when you post.

Thought you had applied for citizenship last year following tier 1 and ILR??

And seeking to sponsor someone on tier 2??

People are probably wondering why your brother cannot do his own research, especially as a university student with access to free and professional visa advice from the university.

The requirement is to show evidence of money to cover any outstanding fees. It is neither reasonable nor logical to think you have to show evidence of money for fees that you have already paid.

If your brother does not understand the visa application guidance from the Home Office or from his university you can refer him to UKCISA's guide:

Does 28 Days rule apply on Fees as well ... Regardless paid or unpaid?

or

it applied only on funds (1265x9) held in account

It says fees and maintenance both needs to be in account for 28 days...
thats where im confused

fees Deposit paid to get CAS Letter.... Will HO raise objection that although you have paid small deposit but at the time you paid the deposit funds were not full and maintenance money was not there... despite the fact before submitting the application funds will be there and maintained for 28 days.

As we know HO is full of people who dont use common sense, that fees is paid but they might not accept it... otherwise they wont implement these stupid rules.

any thoughts or personal experiance

No. You are imagining additional illogical maintenance requirements that do not exist

With respect, you are really over-thinking this matter. I fear you are probably confusing the applicant. If the applicant is unclear about an aspect of their application, I would strongly encourage them o get advice from their university.

Can brother make deposit fees payment

Post by mshakeel2002 » Mon Aug 31, 2020 4:22 pm

Hello:

My brother is based in Pakistan and i am based in UK... he has obtained admission letter from a university in UK. to secure the place he needs to make deposit payment of £3000 out of £14000 total fees.

My question is:
Can i make payment from UK for him of £3000 on his behalf to the uiversity? since UKBA says money must be held in either student himself or Parent`s account. once deposit is paid he will apply for student visa, will it create issues of any kind as why brother paid the fees.

Please advise.
Many Thanks

That is about money he shows in his visa application. See my previous replies in this topic.
