Tier2 General to ILR Application

Post by CONNIEEE3 » Mon May 25, 2020 7:58 pm

Hi,

I am in a similar situation and will be applying my ILR next month. However, there is a slight complication where my previous employer lost its sponsor license but I was able to get a new job while the license was still suspend.

My question is will this impact my ILR application and do I need to get any other letters from my previous employer apart from confirming the holiday absence?

Many thanks,

No.

No, only absence letter.

Please also do not tag your query onto other members topics. It is unfair to other users and creates confusion when members respond.

Hi, I have another query and hoping for your assistance. I took a short break of 4 days between the time I changed jobs so not sure how can I evidence this. Do I mention this in letter that I will take from first employer?

Many thanks for your reply. This means I do not need to mention this on any of the absence letters from the employers, just only on the online application form?

That is NOT what I said. I said you do not need evidence for absences between sponsor changes. You must still provide an employer letter for periods where you were employed

Many thanks for confirming. I have another query and hopefully my last.

What else does the letter from my 'previous' employer should include apart from the absence holidays i.e position, period, salary etc?. Is there a template for previous employer letter?

An employer letter is the same. See a post on top of the forum for a template

I cannot find a letter relating to previous employer.

Can you please confirm if the following information should be enough?
- period I was employed
- job title
- list of absences

Is there anything else I’m missing that must be included?

Many thanks again

From a previous employer, you only need a letter detailing your absences. Nothing else.

Hi,

I am just completing my ILR application and i am required to provide evidence of immigration status in UK.

Will this be related to my Tier 2 only and can i provide my previous Tier 2 BRP along with current to support this?

Many thanks,
Hamza

Thanks Zimba for your prompt response. Sorry you mean current BRP or all 3 covering the 5 years of Tier 2?

Great thank you. Seems like priority service will not be resuming any time soon so i have 2 questions if you can assist please:

1) I first got the tier 2 visa as per the issued BRP on 30 September 2015 therefore, am i eligible to submit ILR application on 2nd September or 3rd September taking in account minus 28 day rule?

2) Secondly, if i apply via standard service and later priority service resumes, can i still change this to priority or the application cannot be changed once submitted?

Again, really appreciate your valuable assistance throughout.

1. It does not have to be bang in 28 days. It is WITHIN 28 days.

https://www.timeanddate.com/date/datead ... ad=28&rec=

2. There is no option to upgrade to priority after you have submitted and paid.

Thanks so much for your reply.

Can you please confirm if I need to scan every page of the current passport including blank and upload to UKVCAS and also am i required to do the same for my previous passport as it includes some stamps that were part of tier 2 absence?

I would suggest scanning all pages including blank pages. We have had other people doing the same

This is my personal opinion. Seniors will know better

Good Luck !

If it wont cost you anything and size still within limit, why not give them all required pages? There is no catch or trap if you scan all pages to HO. You may be surprised they hold more info about you than you know especially in some aspects.
