Processing time for Stamp 1G (Online application via email)

Post by ch123 » Sun Sep 06, 2020 10:19 pm

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how long is the Department taking to get back to you for an online application for a third level graduate programme (From stamp 2 to stamp 1g) following the completion of a level 9 degree? Before Covid, the applicant could just walk in to their local immigration office along with the relevant documents. However, the INIS website now states that rather than attending in person, as a temporary measure applications may be submitted electronically.

I was wondering if anyone has applied for stamp 1g electronically, if yes, how long does it normally take the Department to process the application?

Thank you,

The current turnaround time is around 5-6 weeks based on feedback from other members. It doesn’t matter which stamp you hold, as the registration itself takes just 10-20 minutes. Applications are dealt with in chronological order.
