Here is my case:
I'm Non-EEA, biometric Permanent Residency since the end of 2016.
EEA (partner) applied in August 2019. Received settled status after 4 days.
Living together. Married, since 2009.
10+ years in the UK both, full time working all this time and etc.

Applied on 3rd December 2019.

Multiple calls, emails, no result.
Just generic responses on phone and over email that someone is looking at it.
Not being asked to upload any documents.
No criminal records or anything else.

Thought my case would be straight forward, but it did not.
Application withdrawn letter sent 10 March 2020.

Application date: 30/01/20
COA: 21/04/20
Decision received: 21/04/20 settled status granted

It took 2 and a half months for my partner to receive his certificate of application and then his status was granted an hour later. He used the app to scan his biometric passport and they found 5 years of tax records so no idea why COA took so long!

Hi tialad2003,
I have the same timeline as you and still waiting for a decision. Could you please tell me what exactly you told the supervisor and was it easy to get through to him?
Thank you

Hi tialad2003,
Thank you very much for your msg. They have no idea what we are going through in our personal lives because of these visas. They don't wanna know. That's why they are treating us like this. Anyway I will try this and see. Thanks once again and congratulations !!!

Hi tialad2003,
I spoke to a supervisor this morning and explained my whole situation. He was indeed a gentleman and he listened well and understood what I was going through. And said he couldn't promise but he would try his best to convey my frustration and escalate my case once again. Then in the afternoon I've got my settled status via an email after 6 long months of waiting. I couldn't thank you enough for sharing your post as above which made me wanted to do the same. To be honest my life was on the verge of collapse without the UK Visa and now it's all over. Thank you very much, I hope life treats you kind and well always !!! :)

Call them again and insist that you need to speak to their supervisor. That worked for us. The other option you have it to contact your MP and ask him/her to speak up the process. I highly recommend calling a supervisor and express your frustration.

Dear All,

Wanted to share timelines of my settled status application.

My wife has a non EEA passport and previously had a pre-settled status granted last year. This year we applied for her settled status. Timelines as below:

Application date: 28th June 2020
COA: 28th June 2020
Result: 14th September 2020 (granted settled status)

So roughly 2.5 months to get a decision. We had to provide council tax bills for 1 year as proof while the other 4 years were from NI records.

Cheers
