Hi All,
Just wondering if any of the September applicants got any decisions ?I havent seen any post regarding the same ,nor saw them in MN1 section either.Not sure if liverpool office is till working in lockdown.
I think it is too early for September applicants to receive decisions.

When ILR people are getting results within a week .I dont think it is unreasonable to have such expectation? Or may be Naturalization process is much tougher than ILR ?Not sure if this is the case or ILR team is much bigger than Naturalization team.Endless possibilities...

Two completely different applications, teams and requirements. Ilr is an immigration rules application, citizenship is nationality laws application. Different ilr routes also have different ilr teams working on applications.

Citizenship likely has more in-depth checks than ilr.

Do you mean people applying to citizenship having ILR already or people applying to ILR to begin with?

I am just curious to know how many have applied in July and submitted IDV by 31st Aug and received approval emails.

Thanks

Hi
Appied on 9th June IDV on 4th Sep 2020. Wife and daughter applied on 6th July IDV on 5th Sep 2020. So far no luck. We share same luck with HO. Hope to receive something soon.

Has anyone kept a track of recent approvals reported on the forum? What does the trend say? I think HO is going by date order in majority cases.....

I have, seems to be 3-4 weeks after IDV in general. A lot of approvals during the week of 14th then slowed down. I hope they haven't slowed down because of inability to arrange ceremonies.....

I feel dual submission decisions have also slowed down after UKVCAS has gone to normal operations....

Seems that way. Are you on BC spouse route? those cases used to be processed more quickly..

@littlebuns

My wife and kids are British Citizens. However, I have only had religious marriage in UK so not married as per UK law. So I had to go for Section 6(1). Yes I know, usually Section 6(2) used to be very quick.

Best of luck to you. Perhaps email to ask for a status update, I plan to do that at 3 months mark.

Thank you. Hmm no its not advisable to ask for an update that soon. I hope I hear soon but otherwise I will wait before 6 months are over.

I sent a status update after the 6month expired last week. I got an immediate reply saying, due to the higher number of applications and the COVID situation, its taking longer than usual to process naturalisation applications. I have emailed my MP and I have a voice call scheduled on Wednesday.

What else can I do, guys. Its been 6 months and 1 week since we applied and submitted all the documents. Do they go by the date biometrics are submitted or the date the main applications are submitted?
Cheers

I may be wrong but I strongly believe IDV submissions are the bottle neck and HO isn't prioritising naturalisation applications. Is possible they can half their permanent migration team to prioritise ILR and Tier 2 application due to the current health and economic crisis?

@Ritchie12

The best you can do is try your luck via dual submission. It may or may not work.

But do not worry too much about the generic email reply. I have seen cases when applicants have received that after 6 months but some also got quick results right after. So tbh there is no connection between the decision and the generic email.

I can see dual submission has worked for applicants in April and May. Has anyone in June or after who went for dual submission worked??

Actually 4-5 applicants who reported to get quick decisions with dual submissions around page 70 are all from April/May.

Just got my approval email today, with just the IDV submission (28/8/2020)
However, last Friday I sent email to request for Status update, I don’t know if that might have yielded a quicker result.
Application submitted online on 13/06/2020
Good luck and many thanks to all.

@ Issue1985, @CULLINAN,
Is it fair to assume that it's about 2-3months processing time? My quick analysis from the previous post shows something similar to these times
