Child was born abraod
Child got ILR based on 5 years stay in the UK, we all (father, mother and child) came the UK in 2012 and got ILR in 2018 at the same time.secret.simon wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 4:28 pmThe expectation for a child's registration is that one parent is a British citizen or is applying for British citizenship at the same time AND that both the child and the other parent have ILR.
Child's application will likely fail. Better to apply solo and then apply for child's registration as a British citizen when they meet expectations.
Generally, the child has the same UK Immigration status as that of the less-privileged parent. What route to ILR did you and the child take?
I apologise. I misunderstood. I got the impression that the mother did not have ILR.
Yes, it will be possible to apply for the child along with one parent. The child's registration certificate will be issued alongside the parent's when the parent attends the citizenship ceremony.
Thanks for the response.secret.simon wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 5:11 pmI apologise. I misunderstood. I got the impression that the mother did not have ILR.
