Full time study on HSMP

Hi fellows
I am trying to find out that is it possible to study a one year full time degree course on the HSMP status?

According to the HSMP rules you should not be a dependant on anyone while you are on this visa

You should be able to show savings etc to support yourself during you student year

Also I beleive that to be eligible for ILR you should be working in the skilled profession for which you were given the visa

One cant come here on HSMP work in KFC/Mc Donalds and apply for ILR

I think it is better to call home office and confirm directly
Also check with a lawyer /immigration advisor
Better to be safe than sorry

It doesn't matter which skilled profession you stated when applying for the visa, you are not required to continue in that profession in the UK. It can be anything, as long as you satisfy the requirements for extension and subsequently ILR, can't it? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
