My BRC Replacement timeline:

Applied after receiving Settled Status: 30 June 2020
Biometrics: 25 July 2020
Status outcome via email that BRC replacement has been issued: 25 July and should arrive in 7 days.

It states on the email that my original BRC is no longer valid and has been cancelled and should be returned to be destroyed. I still find it strange that I have to send my new Settled Status BRC back to update my Settled Status.

They sent me an email asking to do it. Apparently they could'nt reuse my bio metrics from 2015.

No, I did my Bio on 25th July and got the approval email 25th August.

I applied for a conversion of my EEA BRC to Eu settlement scheme BRC on August 26th 2020. However, I cannot book an appointment on UKVCAS website as there is not appointments available on any of the service points. Does anybody know anything about this? Will I receive any email on when to book an appointment?

Dont worry. They will email you once they have appointment available for you. They might also invite you to use IDV, in that case you dont need to attend a biometric appointment.

Just an update on my BRC that I sent to Liverpool to be update on my EU Settlement Scheme :-

My new BRC hasn’t be updated yet but got a letter along with my BRC stating that the change has been noted. After speaking to EU Resolution centre I was assured that change can take anywhere from 1-2 months. It’s in the system but I still have to use my old BRC number to view or prove my status. Not really happy with this but as long as they have some record of it. I am bit at ease now.

It took them 10 months to update mine don’t put too much hope on that update

Need some advice.
I currently have a BRC issued under EEA and I have been granted ILR/settled status. I am applying for a change in name on my BRC. I have already updated my passport. I do not see any option for upgrading and transferring the old BRC to new BRC under EUSS at the same time along with a name change. Does this mean I will automatically be granted a new BRC under EUSS ? or do i again have to make a new application

Anyway I have already applied for a name change, but I do recall something mentioned as if you are successful you would be issued a BRP .
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Just respond with stating that you want to proceed with the change. Be advised that once they complete relevant paperwork on their end, your existing card will be invalidated. If you require to travel in near future, you might need to revise your plans - either to travel and then confirm this, or to confirm and postpone your travel plans.

I have a book holiday out of the country from 6th of November, wouldn’t all this be ready before then. I thought it says 2 weeks to get it sorted out. And we can update our new brc through an online service that takes 2 weeks as well.. please kindly explain further?

I am sorry, I did not get that far so others may step in. What I do know, however, is that you simply respond to this email and respond as per usual. I think there is a timeline somewhere but my feeling is that 06/11 is too close given the current climate.

Can I ask what documents do I have to upload online ?

Once you fill the application it gives you list of documents that you need to download or take it with you for the biometrics appointment. I am not sure but its your passport, eu residence card, bank statement, signed form by you and your partner.

I would appreciate id some can help.
My settled status has just been confired under the settlement scheme but my current brc has expired.
I have completed the application for a replacement of the brc but after submitting all the proof of address and consent. i was again directed to a 3rd party site (Ukvcas) to upload some documents which i have done. My question is do i need to book an appointment notwithstanding i have upload required documents ask for and if i do need to book an appointment,I can't possibly book an appointment seem every date is not available.

Keep trying as I had to wait a month due to the current pandemic. Try post codes nearest to your town if possible. I did my biometrics in Manchester which is one hour from where I live. Good luck.

What if there are no appointments to be had? There is only once centre - it is in Belfast, and we received an email saying that this is the final reminder to schedule an appointment, which we cannot schedule due to the lack of appointments.

Please suggest what can be done in such circumstances?
