Hi,

I have submitted online application for AN on 09.05.2020( with old passport )

on 24.08.2020, Uploaded all docs ( cover letter about new/renewed passport) did face ID check new passport on IDV App.

As i see the posts most of them who uploaded around 24 Aug, received their approved letters, i did not receive any acknowledgement or any update,

is it because of my passport change ?

or do you suggest me to take UKVACS appointment for bio metrics enrollment, if yes ? how can i find this option,

Thank you very much for your inputs.

Thanks again
Hi newszb,
I applied with my wife at the beginning of April, biometrics have been done at the beginning of July and the only e-mail we have received is the one with the information "Your application has been received and is being considered". Since then, not a single e-mail or letter has been received (we also check spam folder).

I see people here are getting their approvals and they applied in May, June, July, August, but we are still waiting.

It has been over five months now, should we give HO a ring to make sure everything is fine?

We are holders of "settled status" and as I read here, it could speed up your application, it did not work for us.

Anyway, good luck newszb, hopefully you will be approved soon.

If someone would like to know. Today has been six months since we applied for the citizenship without any outcome. I called the HO this morning (0300 123 2253). They took all the details and the problem has been escalated and we should receive an update within 10 working days.

I sent an e-mail. I received an automatic message straight away: "Thank you for your email. It is taking longer than usual to process applications because of coronavirus (COVID-19). This will not affect the decision. Extra time will be allowed to enrol biometrics, provide additional information and arrange a citizenship ceremony. Do not apply by post if you’ll need your documents back by a specific date. Nationality team"

Sorry, yes, my bad 23rd June. We applied as a family. 5 years on Tier 2 + 1 year ILR
Congrats !!

Pretty much same timelines as mine (I applied on 22nd June and IDV was done on 5th Sept) for Tier 2 + ILR.

lets hope to see some news soon.

Hi all

I just submitted my Tier 2 application on 2nd Oct and it is hard to get a free appointment on UKVCAS.
May I ask if there is a requirement for how soon I should get an appointment date after my visa application?

thank you

Yes. Deadline to submit biometrics is mentioned on the further actions page. Its usually 2 months from date of application.

Thank you, Cullian. I will change to ILR page but may I ask where to see Futher actions page? I only have an email saying what to do next--which is to book appointment with UKVCAS.

Given the pattern, I think Section 6(1) applications mid-late June are processed now....
and applications on basis of BC spouse or EU route are processed quicker...
I sure think its down to BREXIT. They may be prioritizing EU application due to the looming deadlines

No, its always been the case even pre-corona. Probably, due to lesser checks or something, Section 6(1) takes longer than Section 6(2).. in majority cases...

This BC+UKVCAS+PSI is a big Ponzi scheme.
You pay loads of money to be allowed to pay some more.
I cannot find any free appointments.
9:00am appointments on Friday show as "This time is chargeable."?
Another £110 quid and to wait a month?

Hello,
I did my Biometrics appointment today At Lansdowne Road service centre in Croydon.
I submitted my application for naturalisation on 16 June and submitted my documents and facial image via the IDV app on 04 September.
On Friday evening I decided to look at the UKVCAS website to see if there was any free appointment available, luckily for me there was a free appointment for today at 11 30 am, so I thought to myself “why not”
So I did my biometrics today, took about ten minutes.
Let’s wait and see what happens next
Good luck to all those who are waiting

Which appointments are free?

What "Standard appointment" with "chargeable time" means?
