Any more decisions from March-July IDV or dual submissions? Seems like HO is on a break.. :o
applied on 3rd June, submitted through IDV app on 28th August.. still nothing. I was checking for an appointment at ukvcas but they are all paid. Don't want to spend any more money just to wait again.

I applied on 19 June and submitted facial images and documents verification on 4 September. Heard nothing since then. I decided to book for an appointment and got a free appointment in Birmingham just now (6 October). They scanned our passports, BRP, and took pictures as well as fingerprints. They said they submitted the application and all documents this morning.

I might be wrong, but It seems to me that IDV app submission does not work in my case (I cannot comment on others). Hopefully we'll get the decision soon. My employer is currently helping to chase the decision too...

Not sure what you mean? You lost your new BRP and reported it to UKVCAS?
I am assuming your application is approved and you lost your new BRP and reported it to UKVI?

Hi Everyone,
Are there Standard appointment that are not chargeable?

It says on the website that "Core Service Points - offer a combination of free of charge and chargeable appointments."

Where are the free ones? Who gets those free appointments? Is it some privileged group of people?
or do I have to hunt for them in the middle of the night?

This service is very confusing and IMHO purposefully lures people into more spending.
I don't think that alleged pandemic can be used as an excuse to suspend free service while in the same time premium centres are opened and new ones are opening and I have 2 months to arrange an appointment.

Why an appointment is not allocated at the time an applicant submits the documents?
Their system is dated and they generate unnecessary strain on the traffic handling this many applicants at a given time.

An update:
I have called UKVCAS support number on 0844 8920232
and I gave up after 40 minutes of waiting on the line.

Is there any other way to reach to them or I should I just proceed with a complaint?
Please advise.
